The emergence of a new religion, the adoption of Christianity

Being one of the great religions of the world, Christianity came to us during the Roman Empire, at a time when the struggle of national and social camps for the interests of society was conducted. In this difficult period for the Jews, the now existing doctrine of "God" and his "Kingdom" did not reflect their problems and views, so the creation of a new concept of religious teaching was required. Therefore, at the beginning of our era, the Jewish people, who were in migration, create a new religious trend, which in the third century AD grows into a great world religion. At this time, Christianity was first adopted as a state religion by the Armenian people. Thus, Armenia is considered the first country to accept Christianity.

The first Gospel was written in Greek, this proves that the adoption of Christianity as a religion was early enough associated with people and countries that were very different from those it was born.

For a long time religious beliefs and commandments have been transmitted orally from one generation to another. With the development of public life of people, as well as with the appearance of writing, various religious trends began to be fixed in writing in the form of certain provisions. Thus, there appeared religious literature, where the creeds were laid down. Later, some religious books acquired the status of sacred books by adherents of this or that belief. So the Bible arose.

The Bible is a collection of ancient, historical and ideological monuments that were created over the course of fifteen centuries by hundreds of authors of the Middle East, and consists of 66 books, 39 of which are in the Old Testament and 27 in the New Testament.

The book contains many contradictions of different eras, because it was created in a large period of time and different people. The myths of the two Jewish communities reflected in it, which were the basis of the first five books of the Bible, created a number of contradictions. Thus, the adoption of Christianity and its significance for people play an important role in developing understanding between different religions and cultures. Great importance for Christianity has the messages described in the Bible. One can see from them that Christianity as a religion was not born around people united by a common truth. It was born in the struggle of different opinions and beliefs. Here are the different points of view of the church on a number of issues that were posed before the new religion.

Comparing different materials, it is possible to single out historical moments from separate books of the Bible, so the book becomes a historical document. In addition, she collected a number of literary monuments of antiquity, which were the national treasure of the Jewish people and its cultural heritage. Also in the Bible are the medical prescriptions of the ancient era, so it can be argued that it has a human character.

Thus, the adoption of Christianity in Old Russian society, according to many sources, falls on 988. It was then that Prince Vladimir baptized himself and ordered to be christened all his subjects. At that time, baptism was carried out only among the people of Kiev, this fact marked the beginning of a long process of establishing Christianity in Russia as a state religion. After baptism in Kiev, a new religion was planted in other cities of Russia, and almost everywhere the Baptists met with persistence and reluctance to accept a new faith. Because of such resistance, the adoption of Christianity stretched in time, several centuries later Christianity was inculcated in the Russian people as a new faith.

Christianity is now more than two thousand years, all this time, people have ambiguously perceived this religion, then rejecting it, then approaching it. The last decades give us an opportunity to see how this happened. So, in the thirties of last century, Christians were subjected to persecution, they were forbidden to go to church. However, after the passage of time and the change of power, more and more people turn to Christianity, opening new churches and temples.

Thus, the adoption of Christianity and its consequences are of great importance for us, because it has gone a long way to establish itself as a religion, and to lie in the hearts of many people.

We can say that the adoption of Christianity as a religion of the state is the moment of uniting people into a single spiritual whole.
