The concept of "man": the definition of personality

Modern psychology studies the consciousness, the psyche of a particular individual in her personal activity. That is why the person's personality and activity are among the most important factors for studying in psychology.

A person is called a person who has consciousness and at the same time shows activity aimed at social development.

From this definition it becomes clear that the personality and the concept of "man" are different. After all, it can not be said that a newborn baby is a person or an individual. Also, people suffering from serious diseases, mental disorders - in these cases, the person is an irreversible disintegration of the inner world.

In order to become a person, initially a person must achieve a certain level of improvement in inner mental development.
A person can not live in solitude, because he is an integral part of the surrounding society. All that parents teach their parents - to use various subjects, to talk, to participate in social activities, to work - initially carries a stamp of relations with the world around them. Due to this, the emerging personality of the growing up person is initially exposed to the direct influence of already established and established social relations. As a result, it turns out that the thoughts that a person considers individual, are still generated by the influence of the surrounding society. From this it follows that a person is not only a part of the society in the physical plane, it would be an inaccurate and not quite correct definition of the individual, the consciousness of the individual and its behavior is also directly related to the ideas and concrete conditions of the surrounding society.

It is worth noting that the influence of society on the individual is not an absolutely simple and understandable aspect. After all, today there is simply a huge number of different social conditions. They differ in social and territorial characteristics, different traditions and beliefs, work activity and moral thresholds.

Direct influence on the development of the personality is provided by belonging to a certain class or nation. But even if people are representatives of the same race, live in one country and stand on the same social level, their inner world is far from being formed in the same way. After all, a person from birth is in a narrower social environment, which imposes certain conditions on him. It is in the family that the child learns for the first time about faith (Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, Protestantism, etc.), is educated at a certain cultural level, recognizes "right" views on life. Of course, the concept of "man" does not always imply a personality, we already understand that a child can not be a full-fledged individual, the process of formation and development of personality will take place in the child as he grows up, and views on certain things, customs, traditions will also change .

From this there is a short definition and a gradual development of the personality - this is a person who works and always takes an active part in the life of the society to which he belongs.

Of course, the personality structure has a number of inherent natural properties. These include congenital makings, the properties of the central nervous system, the state of the organs of speech and feelings in a person at the time of his birth. After all, it is already proved that a dwarf or a person with flaws on his face, defects and speech disturbance leads and feels himself in the surrounding society is not so comfortable as a man born without any birth defects or flaws.

The person always develops, grows both in moral, and in the spiritual plan. The concept of "personality" and the concept of "man" can not exist separately from each other.

For example, one person throughout his life seeks to self-knowledge, reads a lot, improves intellectually, spiritually, morally - it's a versatile personality. The other stops at the acquired personal qualities that were formed by him at the time of growing up, but at the same time he works and takes part in social activities. They are both people, both personalities, true, while one of them is a versatile person, and the other is just a formed individual. From this it follows that the concept of "personality" is just as different as the concept of "man" - people and people of modern times are an absolute diversity.

Each individual in modern society express their own claims. Under the claims of the individual are meant those roles and goals that a person defines for himself as desirable, achievable, real and feasible.

The ideal of modern man is a versatile personality. In such a person, "physical perfection, purity of morality and spiritual wealth" ideally harmonizes. Thanks to the construction of modern society, to cultivate and develop in a person a versatile personality becomes absolutely real.
