Symptoms of stagnation of bile and their overcoming
Fatty food, unsystematic intake, and frequent use of carbonated water and alcohol not only clog vessels with harmful cholesterol and cause ulcers, but can also provoke cholestasis. This disease is characterized by untimely excretion of bile. As a result, frequent pain occurs on the right side. In addition, other symptoms of stagnation of bile may be observed .
Main symptoms
The first manifestations of cholestasis are a sharp violation of absorption of nutrients and digestion of food. Itching of the whole body often happens when there is stagnation of bile. Symptoms on the skin can also appear as pigment spots (their occurrence is explained by the excess of melanin). Perhaps the emergence of so-called xanthomite, i.e., yellow swollen spots. Basically, they are localized on the back, neck, under the chest or around the eyes. Also, with cholestasis, yellow plaques can appear on the eyelids.
- Change in stool mass. Basically, they lose their color and become very pale (this is the consequence of removing fat from the body). The smell of stool becomes quite unpleasant and harsh. The stool is more liquid. The frequency of it increases, and the volume becomes also larger.
- A complete blood test will show a decrease in the concentration of vitamin K. Symptoms of bile stagnation can also be recognized by "chicken blindness". This phenomenon arises from the decrease in vitamin A, which is responsible for vision.
- Frequent fractures. Sometimes they can occur even with minor injuries. This is all due to the lack of vitamins D and E.
- Weight loss due to diarrhea and dehydration.
- Changes in the work of the cardiovascular system.
As specialists note, frequent nausea, vomiting, fever are symptoms of stagnation of bile. Most likely, they are manifestations of the disease that provoked cholestasis.
