History of the team

The football club "Stuttgart" has a long and interesting history. Initially, the German team was engaged in another sport, namely rugby. The beginning of football history begins only after twenty years. Football club "Stuttgart" by today gathered around itself more than forty thousand members. However, the German team can boast not only a huge number of members, but also a lot of achievements and titles. In addition, "Stuttgart" is famous for its dedicated fans who support it even in the most difficult moments of existence.

First half of the twentieth century

Football club "Stuttgart" in the first years of his life could not boast of great achievements. The team was peacefully located in the middle of the table and only occasionally climbed up. However, the weakling "Stuttgart" could not be named. "Stuttgart" - a football club that could impose a fight even for the grandees and for this was considered a very strong middle peasant.

Raise the team

The significant development of the team begins only in the 1950s of the last century. It was during this period that the first serious trophies began to fall into the piggy bank of the club. The creator of success can be called the newly-minted coach Robert Shlins. The new mentor spent eight years at the post. By the way, the coach was also famous for not having a hand. He lost it in a car accident. Leading the German team, Schlins helped win four titles. For the fans of "Stuttgart" this time was one of the best in history. During this period in the treasury of the team got two titles of champions of Germany and two Cups of the country. However, in the national team of Germany from the "Stuttgart" in that period did not hit any football player. Second half of the twentieth century

The brightest football in the second half of the last century began to demonstrate the German "Stuttgart". The football club was replenished with many famous players, which significantly strengthened the team. The mentor in the 80-ies was Hans-Jürgen Sundermann, who managed a good club from Germany, but all the time he had something to grab in order to lead the team champion. Two times, "Stuttgart" stopped one step away from the title, and one took third place. However, in 1982 the team completed at the ninth place, which led to the dismissal of the coach.

Helmut Bentaus became the new mentor. In the first season of his work, the coach returned the club's status as a formidable team and won bronze medals at the German championship. "Stuttgart" - a football club, a photo of which in 1983 were in every newspaper. It was the season that brought the team the third championship in its history.

Not bad German club announced itself in international tournaments. In 1989, "Stuttgart" reached the final of the UEFA Cup, which pleased their fans. However, to take the title he was prevented by the Italian "Napoli". After two meetings the team from Italy became the winner with a total score of 5: 4. However, it should be mentioned that at that time the legendary Maradona shone in the Italians.

The 1990s

Christophe Down in the 92nd year rose to the post of the main coach of the "Stuttgart". The first season of his stay, he decorated the title of the champions of Germany, which became the fourth for the team.

The famous Joachim Loew in the 96th year received an offer to head the German club. At that moment he was a young but promising specialist. Before the call to the post of head coach, he was in the "Stuttgart" deputy. Many know that later Joachim became a well-known mentor of the German national team and brought her to many trophies. However, in the "Stuttgart" he was not very successful. At the post of chief specialist of the team he spent two years. During this period, he took with the club the German Cup, and in the national championship for two seasons in a row, "Stuttgart" ranked fourth. Also Joachim Loew brought the team to the Cup Winners Cup final, but lost to London "Chelsea" with a minimum score of 1: 0.

Today

A new time for the German team came when a well-known specialist Felix Magata rose to the post of coach . The mentor made a special emphasis on young players, who were mainly pupils of the "Stuttgart". I must say that this approach worked. Young people looked at the most experienced captain of the club and very quickly progressed. The fresh line-up managed to achieve silver medals in the German championship in the 2003 season.

In the same period, the team was very well-known players today. Most notable: Philippe Lam, Kevin Kuranyi, Alexander Hleb. After the coach left the ranks of "Stuttgart", the management decided to continue to focus on young players.

In 2007, under the leadership of Armin Fe "Stuttgart" won first place in the championship of Germany and, thus, won this title for the fifth time in its history.

To date, the club is not the best way. The team is trying to survive in the lower parts of the champion of Germany. On the way to the international competitions the club can only dream. However, the fans believe that Stuttgart will once again be able to show its best game.
