Structure of Russia's GDP

The gross domestic product shows the state of the country's economy. That is why economists pay special attention to it and offer various ways to develop and stimulate economic growth. GDP reflects the growth of material production. When calculating it, only the market and final cost of goods and services are taken into account. It does not include non-market relations, that is, transfers and work for oneself, as well as financial flows and the cost of intermediate goods. In general, GDP is the expenditure of the state, firms, consumers and the external economic sector, that is, the difference between imports and exports.

GDP is divided into two types:

1) Nominal, which is calculated in the prices of the current year. By its level, our country is ranked 10th in the world.

2) Real, which is expressed in terms of nominal to the price index. Basically, it is used to analyze the levels of the country's economic development in different periods of time.

Economic growth in Russia is a long-term trend of real GDP growth . It is the goal of each state. On its basis, various opportunities for social programs, poverty eradication, health, education and environmental problems are opened. In order to change the structure of Russia's GDP for the better, it is necessary to increase production for the extraction of natural resources, gas, water and electricity, since it is these goods that our country is rich in. Economists identify two factors of economic growth. The first is extensive, which means an increase in quantity. As a rule, it is not effective. The second is intensive, meaning an increase in quality. The structure of Russia's GDP at the moment is the focus of attention of economists.

Apart from all this, international trade is an important form of economic relations. Its facilities are competitive products with the best consumer properties. The export and import of Russia is also of great importance, since they have a great impact on economic growth. Statistics show that a huge amount of imported products is imported into our country. It, certainly, allows people to make a choice at purchase of the certain goods. Nevertheless, there are also disadvantages, since foreign things are sold in larger quantities than the products of domestic producers. Therefore, the current situation is important and requires separate consideration.

As a result, I would like to conclude that the structure of Russia's GDP still has an improvement strategy. It consists in sending all resources towards the development of high technologies and reducing the energy intensity and material intensity of production. At the moment, economic growth in Russia will increase only if efforts are reflected in the social and economic policies of the government. Then the structure of Russia's GDP can change for the better, and together with it the living standard in the country will significantly increase, thus contributing to the development of the economy.
