Vietnam South

In the southern part, a completely different situation is observed, as the tourism season lasts here from December to April, and the overcast rainy season - from spring (May) to late autumn. And humidity during this period fluctuates within 80 percent. Despite this, the rainy season in these places is not quite terrible, because the rain goes no more than 20 minutes with interruptions.

South Island

Vietnam is interesting for its amazingly picturesque islands, located near the coast, where the resort is Nha Trang. Among them is the island of Moon with the fishing village located on it. This site is a kind of marine reserve, where you can see amazing corals, fairy-tale fish and marine animals.

Some facts from the history

It is known that the ancient state in the territory of present-day Vietnam existed in the 2nd century BC. This is Van Lang, ruled by the kings of Hung. The state had its own clear boundaries and the capital, located in the valley of the river. Hong-Ha.

A lot of wars had to be carried over to the long-suffering people of Vietnam in their entire history. It should be noted that 1945 is significant in that its next seizure by the French took place. But as a result of 2-month battles in the spring of 1954 for Dien Bien-fu, the Vietnamese army achieved victory over the French. The last French soldier left the liberated state in April 1956. However, by this time a new occupation of the United States was already beginning. And the reason was the Tonkin incident (an attack by the DRV boats on the destroyers of the American "Maddox" and "Turner Joy").

Vietnam South was controlled by the Americans until April 1975, when the troops of the DRV occupied Saigon. The war with the United States claimed about 1.5 million soldiers and 4 million civilians.

Ho Chi Minh City in the past was the capital of the French colony Cochinchina (in 1955-1975 an independent state). Vietnam South, in fact, as an anti-communist state, was fighting against the communist North Vietnam and Viet Cong during the war. In this he was helped by the United States of America, New Zealand, Australia and South Korea.

Today it is a beautiful place where you can have a good time, combining rest in the bosom of an amazing nature with an acquaintance with the cultural sights and the history of the development of the people and the state.
