Sights of Solnechnogorsk in the Crimea: description and photos of tourists

Solnechnogorsk is a small resort village in the Crimea, which is ideal for a budget family vacation. In recent years, there have been built many small guest houses, recreation centers and boarding houses for every taste, so those who come there do not have problems with accommodation. Of course, local entertainment is inferior to Yalta, Feodosia or Sudak, but the sights in Solnechnogorsk district also deserve attention.

Brief information about the resort

The village of Solnechnogorsk is located 25 km from Big Alushta. It is located at the foot of the mountains in the valley of the Ulu-Uzen river. In the village and its environs there are a lot of vineyards and gardens, so vacationers with pleasure are tasting fresh, cheap fruits.

Due to its favorable location Solnechnogorsk is a convenient starting point for car excursions to many famous architectural, natural and historical monuments of the Crimea. However, a significant part of tourists prefer to spend more time in the village itself.

Beach

The main advantages of this main sight of Solnechnogorsk are:

  • Length (almost 1 km) and width (30 m);
  • Pebble coating;
  • Comparative unloading;
  • The water at the shore is cleaner than in other resorts;
  • The presence of entertainment such as paddle, water bike, motorcycle, and banana, parachute flights, etc.

Jur-Djur

Talking about the sights of Solnechnogorsk, first of all called the amazing beauty of the waterfall, located near the village. Its name comes from the Armenian word "dzhur", which translates as "water". The height of this monument of nature is 15 meters, and width - 5 m. The Jur-Jur waterfall is not only the most powerful in the Crimea, but also the most dangerous one. That is why tourists are not advised to try to swim under its streams, along with which often quite large stones are thrown from a height.

Life would be uninteresting without cranks. This idea comes to mind to anyone who learns the history of this most unusual sight of Solnechnogorsk (Crimea). Unfortunately, the person who created the "Forest Park of Satire and Humor" is no longer alive, so tourists have to get acquainted with the "works of art" there themselves. In addition, they are happy to take pictures against the backdrop of numerous gypsum-concrete sculptures dressed in costumes of a policeman, a zek, a grumpy mistress, collective farmers, a drunkard, etc. Some travelers note that the characters represented remind heroes of stories by Yuz Aleshkovskiy and a film about Jack Vosmierkin.

It is said that if you are lucky, you can find in the caves well-preserved bones of ancient animals that inhabited the peninsula many centuries ago.
