Serious corks in the ears and the reasons for their appearance

It is known that sulfur fuses in the ears appear because the sulfur glands located in the ears begin to actively allocate a special secret. Proceeding from this, the sulfur plug contains sulfur, scaly remnants of dead skin and the very secret secreted by the sebaceous glands. If the ears are healthy, then the ear plug also forms in them, however, while the sulfur can quickly be removed during the process of chewing food or talking.

I must say that sulfur in the ear canal is accumulated because the auditory passage is narrow and tortuous. In addition, the state of sulfur plug can tell you a lot about its color and consistency. As a rule, sulfur plugs in the ears at the initial stage of their appearance can be quite soft, however, if it does not get rid of it in time, the sulfur plug can even harden.

There is a type of people who have some predisposition to the formation of sulfur plugs. This may be due to the individual physiology of the structure of the ear, as well as work in conditions in which the formation of sulfur plugs occurs much faster. These conditions include work on construction sites, where there is a lot of cement and construction dust, flour mills, sawmills and mines.

Symptoms of sulfuric plugs are as follows: usually there is a sharp deterioration in hearing. And the person, in whose ears there is a sulfur plug, can feel stuffiness and ringing. In principle, hearing loss does not occur in all cases. The fact is that although the sulfur plugs in the ears can be quite large, however, if there is a small gap between them and the ear canal, then the hearing loss is not observed. But enough in the ears to get even a small amount of water, as the cork begins to swell sharply and will close the entire ear passage. But this is not the worst thing. Serious corks in the ears, swelling, can exert a strong pressure on the eardrums. And this, in turn, will certainly cause a severe headache, nausea and even coughing.

If it so happens that the sulfur plug is formed in the external auditory canal and is there for a long time, it can cause serious inflammation. And this, in turn, will be accompanied by strong and unpleasant pain in the ears.

From all this it becomes clear that the sulfur plugs in the ears, the symptoms of which were considered above, some people try to remove themselves. Moreover, as "improvised" means in this case, use a variety of sharp objects such as needles, sharply sharpened matches, pins, etc. But it's just not right to do this. The thing is that trying to help himself, the person on the contrary starts pushing the cork deeper into the ear, from where it will be more difficult to extract. In addition, in the process of such an "operation", it is possible to inadvertently disrupt the integrity of the tympanic membrane. It is more correct to act in this case, washing the sulfur plug with a strong stream of warm water. In principle, it can be done independently, however, it will be better to entrust this to the doctor.

If the ENT discovers solid sulfur plugs in your ears, you will definitely prescribe a specific course of taking special medicines that will help soften the sulfur plug. The course also consists of instilling solvents or vaseline oil for several days. And only after the cork is soft and will take a waxy consistency, the doctor with a special syringe and under the strong pressure of warm water will wash the sulfur plug from the ear. It's not a secret that sometimes you can not remove the stopper from the ear from the ear for the first time, so you need to bury the dropping drops in your ear, after which the procedure for removing the stopper continues.
