Sergei Veremeenko: a long way to the first billion

The future tycoon was born in the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky, which is in the Yaroslavl region. It happened on September 26, 1955. Almost all childhood Sergei spent in his hometown, where he graduated from high school.

But, having received the certificate, he went to study in Ufa. Here Sergey Veremeenko entered the Ufa Oil Institute, which he successfully graduated in 1978. In the column the specialty was the inscription: "Design and operation of oil pipelines, tank farms and gas storages". However, this level of knowledge for the future businessman seemed to be small. So he decided to go to graduate school, which for another three years made him a student of UNI.

After completing his studies for a while he worked in the laboratory of the institute, but soon realized that in this way you will not earn much. The meeting between Veremeenka and Sergei Pugachev, which happened in 1989, was fatal. Together they organized a common business for the manufacture and sale of labels.

In 1991, Pugachev registered the "Northern Trade Bank." As for Sergey Veremeenko, he becomes his partner and opens a branch of this organization in Moscow. A year later the branch is renamed into "International Industrial Bank". And in 2003 Sergey Alekseyevich Veremeenko became the managing director of this financial structure.

Alas, the friendship of the two businessmen did not last long. After Sergei Veremeenko put forward his candidacy for the post of president of the Republic of Bashkortostan, their relationship with Pugachev began to gradually deteriorate. And despite the fact that Veremeenko lost the elections, in late 2003, former comrades decided to split the business in half and rule them separately.

In 2004 Sergey Veremeenko became vice-president of the Russian Engineering Academy. He also takes over the management of the International Institute of Investment Projects and Construction Economics.

Having a good investment experience, Veremeenko invests her savings in the company "Russian Coal". Now it is one of the largest suppliers of combustible raw materials in the country, and our entrepreneur owns 25% of its shares.

Family and personal life

Sergei Veremeenko was married three times. First wife Alla Gennadievna is his business partner and co-owner of the stake in Mezhprombank. As for the second marriage with Marina Smetanova, he gave the businessman a son Alexei. By the way, all the children have Sergei five, and, he said, he loves them all.

The third wife of the oligarch was a young model of Sofya Skaya. It is rumored that Veremeenko gave bribes to the jury, so that they helped his companion win the "Mrs. Peace 2006" contest. However, this has not been proved.
