In its segment, the quality score in the current market of cloth for special clothing is twill. The fabric is intended, first of all, in order to create a truly high-quality product. Due to its remarkable properties, the material can satisfy even very high customer requirements.

Technologies in the modern world, of course, do not stand still. Overalls made of twill are very popular in various spheres of work.

Therefore, the primary task of the modern manufacturer is the development of new types of this fabric, even more robust, with higher characteristics and indicators.

Brief description of the material

The above material is characterized by the following features:

  • High water resistance;
  • Wear resistance;
  • Non-permanence;
  • Good air permeability.

It should be noted that in the main all technical fabrics are allergenic. After a while, they cause serious irritation in people with sensitive skin. As for the serge, it does not cause any allergic reactions at all. This is explained simply: more than 70% of natural cotton fibers have twill in their composition.

One of the most important advantages of this material is the heat exchange capacity. This property means that in such clothes in the winter, for example, it is not cold, and in the summer - it is not hot. That is, a material such as a twill (cloth) is sufficiently comfortable. In addition, the material is processed by special substances, and therefore the static tension does not accumulate twill. Fabric is an ecological, pure material. This matter is practical in everyday life and durability.

Due to the fact that it is additionally impregnated with special twill substances, the fabric acquires water-repellent properties and does not let moisture pass.

Also on the above material the manufacturer applies oil-repellent impregnation, as it is used to make uniforms for people who work with oily formulations. Of course, these two impregnations significantly increase the resistance of the fabric during operation.

Twilled twine

The interlacing of threads in any matter plays the most important, fundamental role. Some performance characteristics of the material depend on it. For example, it directly relates to wear resistance, as well as resistance to erasure.

Twill weave is distinguished by the fact that the threads of the weft and the bases are located with a shift of one step. The main feature of this interlacing is that the scars formed on the surface of matter are inclined. They create a diagonal texture.

In Russia, the above material is produced with diagonals that are directed to the right. Unlike linen, twill weave has a much smaller number of duck and base crossings. Crossing, warp threads and duck overlap several threads of the system. If the number of threads increases, then, of course, the number of intersections decreases. The strength of matter depends on this index. For example, with the increase of the rapport the tissue power is lost.

This interlacing makes the material very strong and resistant to erasure. The derivatives of twill weave are the following materials:

  • Strengthened;
  • Broken line;
  • complex;
  • Rhomboid.

These types of this matter are also characterized by a density that is in the range from 220 to 360 g / m. Sq. M.

Application of the serge

This material is used as dress, lining, technical fabric.

The underlay twill is used for making hats, outerwear, and also for other purposes. Main features:

  • Relatively light matter, with sufficient density, which is produced from artificial threads by the twill weave method;
  • Pleasant to the touch, its surface has a noble luster;
  • Characterized by high hygienic indicators;
  • Has remarkable hygroscopic properties;
  • Opaque;
  • Strong enough in comparison with other materials.

The material is actively used for making work clothes, bags and mittens. To produce uniforms for security structures also used twill.

The fabric has special properties, due to which it is used for the production of certain types of clothing: working suits, overalls, jackets, aprons and dressing gowns.
