Russian figure skater Alexander Stepanova: biography, personal life and achievements

Many people like figure skating and monitor the success of our skaters - both singles and those who are engaged in pair skating. Every year new names, new interesting personalities appear, which give impetus to the development of this most beautiful sport, where everything is so intertwined - both artistry and technique.

How children come to the sport

Alexandra Stepanova was born on August 19, 1995 in St. Petersburg. Parents were fond of sports, mother - volleyball, father - running skates. Today he is a successful man in business. With such parents, the girl could not do without sports education: she was given to figure skating in five years. Who knows what will happen next, but the beautiful figure, purposefulness, persistence and organization in it will be precisely worked out. But the parents still hoped that it would be her profession, so the training started from half past six in the morning, without days off and holidays, in the summer no more than two weeks of rest. Alexandra Stepanova began as a single woman. But everything changed in 2006, after she moved to Moscow. Two more years she rolled alone, but then coaches Irina Zhuk and Alexander Svinin put her in a pair with Ivan Bukin, when Sasha was 11 years old, Ivan - 13.

A successful start

They worked hard and hard and tried to establish contact. They are very different - Ivan open, cheerful, and Alexander Stepanova was shy and silent, preferred to listen, not speak, she always kept everyone at a distance, but was benevolent.

They became leaders in the group and were considered one of the most promising pairs among juniors. Indeed, Sasha was only 13 years old. By all the usual measures - a girl girl, but the requirements for it were the highest. And indeed, everyone who sees them on the ice, believe that this is a beautiful, harmonious, spectacular pair. Great moral support is provided to them by Ivan's father, formerly Olympic champion Andrei Bukin. Alexandra Stepanova knows how much more work needs to be done to reach the top. Their debut was junior competitions in the high-altitude Courchevel at the Grand Prix in 2010. Since the conditions there are heavy, then they had a hard time in training - there were two or three rolled at a time. The coaches did not plan that from the first time no-one known to the couple will receive some prizes. Especially since the conditions of the competition have changed somewhat. Short and arbitrary dances were introduced. And here Sasha and Vanya win their first stage, and in a few weeks - they perform in Japan.

Then Sasha realized that everything starts seriously, and before that she skied diligently, but out of habit.

First setbacks and achievements

In 2011, this pair did not quite successfully perform at the World Junior Championships - they took only second place, there was not enough speed. But by 1912 the mistakes were taken into account, and therefore the Grand Prix among juniors was won, which was held in Sochi. A great achievement in the sports biography of Alexandra and Ivan was the success at the World Junior Championships in Milan, where they became the best in the free program.

Beauty is only for dancing

The Russian figure skater Alexander Stepanov is very attractive. In the pair Bukin-Stepanova, the girl is the embodiment of beauty and stateness. The long-legged blonde is very inviting, which is beneficial for the development of the technical characteristics of their dances. Trainers are not afraid to put before them complex tasks that are not too often used in dancing, namely support. These guys are adapted to new judicial requirements. The guys like to overcome themselves by climbing new heights. They are enterprising and efficient. In addition to the dance, emotions and feelings emerge, which make the dance very human, and it becomes more interesting for the dancers to not mechanically perform the given elements. Here, for example, the blues. In appearance it is only outwardly simple. But in fact, you have to be a jewelry-working athlete. If the edge of the ridge "comes off" - everything, the dance is gone. That's why athletes and coaches are worried about how the dance will turn out.

In the adult team

Their start is just beginning. This artistic and persevering couple moved into the adult league. They are members of the national team of the country that will participate in the Winter Universiade. It is a great honor and responsibility, and they have withstood all the tests with dignity: they took the fifth place, and in free dance - bronze.

But this is in Russia. And at the European Championships in Stockholm, the boys took third place. This, of course, is a victory for a young promising couple. However, a little later, in Shanghai, at the first world championship in his career, Alexander Stepanova and Bukin took the ninth place, which is not so bad, because Sasha fell. She herself believes that this fall was not accidental, she wanted too much, and so she did not manage to concentrate on the tasks at the moment. After the third place at the European Championships, I involuntarily think that everything will go on increasing. But life puts footrests on. The result, as already mentioned, is 9th. It was, of course, offensive, since both were very prepared for the championship. But for them it was already a victory that they became participants of the World Cup.

First injuries

Sport is very traumatic. At the training session at the Grand Prix of Skate America in Chicago, the pair fell. Newspapers did not ignore this event: Alexandra Stepanova (Moscow) did not fit into the ice area. At full speed, she drove into the side. A severe bruise has been fixed. She was carried off the ice on a stretcher. But what courage did Stepanova Alexandra Nikolaevna (now it can already be called a full respectful name): all who saw her, thought that in the near future, she would not rise to her feet. Nevertheless, even though she was led to workout by the arm, she skated with complete dedication. Here there was a champion character. She did not refuse the start, and participated in the demonstration performances. And the couple became a bronze medalist at the Grand Prix stage in the US.

Back in Moscow, Sasha underwent a survey. Strong bruises and sprains were found. But after all the procedures from training the girl did not refuse, but decided to go out on the ice every day.
