What was before

Even in the distant XVII century, the estate, called the Great Slepian, belonged to the Radziwills. After a while, namely already in the beginning of the XIX century it was sold to the Vankovichs. It was from that moment to this day that it bears its proud name - the Vankovichi estate. Initially, the house was made of wood, but was gradually upset, and by the middle of the XIX century it had become a full-fledged brick house. Near the estate there was a beautiful large pond, avenues and dams. Almost before 1920, it was Vankavichy who owned the entire estate.

The era of Soviet power brought with it many experiences. This building was repeatedly resold, re-planned. Here housed the office of the state farm, potato plant, combine and the Minsk school of the NKVD. Later, the mansion was even used as an apartment building and a club. And 1981 brought peace to the house, because it was recognized as a monument of culture and history.

The "Usadba" restaurant is a place that is created for people who appreciate high cuisine and have a predisposition for refined rest. It is practically the only restaurant complex in the whole of our country that unites the culinary traditions of several countries, namely pan-Asian cuisine, Austrian, Belarusian and German.

What became of the estate

The Vankovichi Manor is an architectural monument to this day. However, some changes were made by the designers. Of course, the house was completely restored. Today this luxurious two-story building includes a fashionable restaurant-club, in which ten rooms are located.

These chic halls have already been used for banquets, luxury weddings and corporate parties. And more recently, the "Usadba" restaurant opened its doors to the general public. There is an interesting fact: $ 10 million was spent on the reconstruction of this architectural monument. I wonder what happened in the end?

Interesting facts of reconstruction

Restaurant-estate of the Vankovichs on Filimonov began to undergo changes since 2009. For the construction took the company Univest-M, which stated the fact that when she set to work, the estate of the Wankowicz was already in an emergency condition. It was expressed that practically nothing remained of the original layout.

To be more precise, in the original form of the staircase and the gate had forged fences. The interiors of the XIX century were luxurious, the decor was rich and surprising, but, unfortunately, nothing was left of this magnificence. The floors are rotten, the brickwork is destroyed, the ceilings and the walls were prone to deformation. In general, all indicated that this building was easier to demolish than to restore, and in its place to build another. But the Ministry of Culture stood up for the protection of the architectural monument and insisted on its maximum preservation.

How did the estate change?

According to the designers themselves, the Vankovichi manor has acquired an almost original appearance, as it was in the 19th century. Of course, corrections were made. Accordingly, certain extensions were made, an elevator was installed.

According to the leader of this large-scale project for the reconstruction of Alexander Konovalenko, the estate was visited most often by the Belarusian intelligentsia. And if you take the turn of the XIX-XX centuries, then in those days, the cultural life here was literally boiling. It is this fact that became the basis for the restoration of the complex itself.

First floor

Let's start with the entrance doors, they are metallic and look not very presentable, however this element will soon be replaced. Initially, the first floor was intended for the location of the bedrooms. Now, after reconstruction, it includes two halls, which accommodate forty people, and you can try Pan-Asian cuisine.

The basement was also redone: if there used to be a kitchen, now there are four Austrian-German rooms, in other words, with beer restaurants. The underground part of the complex includes a kitchen, ventilation rooms and other engineering systems.

Second floor

The Vankovichi Manor at Filimonov is a two-storey complex, striking with its rich interior. So, on the second floor of this complex are the main halls. Here you can enjoy Belarusian cuisine, and each of the rooms has its own unique historical name. The designers tried to recreate that decoration, which fascinated people of the middle of the XIX century.

The ballroom is a room intended for exhibitions, literary readings. Almost everything was restored here, even the parquet was collected according to fragments that remained from those distant times. The decor admires, the big pictures still contemporaries of the Vankovichs have been restored and returned to their seats.

The Vankovichi Manor, the photo proves it, did not lose its sophistication, unless it became a bit more modern after the reconstruction. If you take a large dining room with a coffered ceiling - it did not lose its sophistication, because even the original drawing was completely restored, thanks to the fact that the descriptions of the ceiling have been preserved. The dimensions of the attic were arranged, and there was an excellent attic floor with a banquet hall. The individual style of each room of this large restaurant attracts attention.

For whom is all this splendor?

As the reviews say, the estate of the Vankovichs, as it is transformed into a restaurant-club, will take on the intelligentsia, people from high society. In general, all those who are well-off financially can visit the estate. However, it is also possible to hold festive shows, parties, bright shows and various celebrations. Also there will be creative evenings, meetings.

Do not forget here about the children. The staff of the estate is supplemented with professional nannies, which can be looked after by the child. For this, a separate children's club with various cognitive games and performances was created.
