Red Data Book of Krasnodar Region: Representatives of Flora and Fauna

The Krasnodar Territory is wide plains, green mountain meadows, golden beaches, gentle waters of the seas and rivers, dense virgin forests. This is a fertile place for living and an excellent resort for recreation and recreation. This area is famous for its rich flora and fauna. Special attention should be given to those unique creations that the Red Data Book of Krasnodar Region presents for everyone.

It describes a lot of plants and living things that need guardianship and protection, deserve careful attitude to themselves. They are represented by the following types:

  • Fauna: mammals, amphibians, fish, reptiles, birds, insects, crustaceans, mollusks, worms;
  • Flora: various algae, pine, magnolophytes, mushroom-like, moss-like, mushrooms.

It is impossible to describe all the species that the Red Data Book of the Krasnodar Territory contains, we will consider only some of them.

Mammals

Quite a lot of mammals called the Red Book of the Krasnodar Territory. Animals are represented by 26 denominations. Basically, they include different kinds of bats, but there are also those that belong to the family of cunts, felines, polororogs and even dolphins, represented among others by the Black Sea bottlenose dolphin.

The population of dolphins of this species is rapidly decreasing, maybe very soon it will be impossible to enjoy the graceful jumps of these amazing creatures, to hear their shrill screams, which they are probably trying to tell us something. After all, dolphins after humans are the most intelligent creatures on Earth, but they are not adapted to the conditions of our life. The Black Sea is polluted with industrial waste, dolphins fall under the keels of fishing vessels, they are ruthlessly destroyed by cruel entertainment lovers. Afalina lives about 30 years, nurses the cub every 2-3 years for 12 months, somewhere for the same amount of time it feeds. By the way, a bottlenose dolphin is better than other species tolerates bondage, and can even live and reproduce near a person, and also please us and our children with stunning tricks in dolphinariums.

Birds

A lot of families (stork, duck, falcon, black grouse, crane, and others) contain the Red Data Book of the Krasnodar Territory. The birds represented in it are truly diverse and their number is very large.

Black Stork - a very rare, disappearing from the face of the Earth kind of beautiful graceful birds. They settle far from human habitation, therefore their way of life is poorly understood. It is only known that these birds are monogamous and always remain faithful to their chosen ones, which in the animal world is not so often. Also the male can very nicely take care of the female and sing "serenades" to her.

There is a beautiful legend about the appearance of a black stork. Once the storks were only white and always settled near the people, but once a cruel man set fire to the tree on which their nest was located, and it burned down with the helpless chicks. Storks threw themselves into the fire, trying to help their children, but could not save them. And their wings turned black with burns. Since then, their descendants are black. From grief, these storks harbored resentment against people and began to settle only in the wilderness. Who knows what is true here, and what is fiction. But black storks, really, do not like living near people, but they still die out ...

Plants

Not only the fauna is protected by the Red Book of the Krasnodar Territory, the plants that are represented on its pages have an unlimited number and are of great value. One of them is figs.

Fig (or fig tree, fig tree) is listed in the Red Book and protected from destruction. It is not only a medicinal plant that helps in curing many diseases, the fruits of this tree are a useful treat. From it, cook extraordinarily tasty jam and jam.

The history of figs is truly unique. It originates back in ancient Rome, in the legend of Romulus and Remus. There it is mentioned that the she-wolf, who nurtured them, was found under a bush of figs. And in the historical chronicles of Ancient Rome, there is a note that the bush of the fig tree unexpectedly grew up on the Roman forum.

Figs were sung by great people, its fruits were attributed to miraculous properties, and the tree itself was revered as sacred. In ancient Greece, the fig tree used such honor, that it was even forbidden to export it outside the state.

Today, figs are a tree, to which only consumers are treated, not thinking that it too can disappear.

Inhabitants of water bodies

The Red Data Book of the Krasnodar Territory contains a large number of fish species under threat of extinction. Among them, a thorn, a lamprey Ukrainian, a sturgeon, a white-eyed, a goat mustachioed, a light-colored slab, and others. Also the danger is threatened by the yellow trigger from the scorpion-shaped squad.

Trigla yellow (or sea cock) is not only a delicious dish that can decorate your table. It is still an exotic and very attractive fish. It is unusual in that it knows how to not only swim, but also to fly. For this, she has large, pectoral fins, reminiscent of wings. The color of this fish is really amazing, there are brick-red, brown, silvery-white, pink, bluish-lilac, purple and bluish shades. Because of the pollution of water bodies and the constant harvest, it can soon disappear, and the world will lose one more bright outstanding specimen.

Reptiles

The Red Book of the Krasnodar Territory contains a list of a number of reptiles that are subject to our care and protection. These are newts, toads, frogs, turtles, lizards and snakes. Particular attention in this category should be given to the endangered species - the tortoise of Nikolsky (Mediterranean turtle). She is threatened with complete extinction! And it exists on our Earth for 200 million years.

In Sochi, a special project was launched to protect this species. An ecological and biological center was established where the turtles were found in the best conditions suitable for them.

And other species

The remaining species are represented by a multitude of insects, crustaceans, mollusks, and worms. Contains the Red Book of the Krasnodar Territory photo, which captures all kinds of animals and plants in need of close attention and protection.

The Red Book is a call to preserve the gene pool of animals and plants. Everyone, as the crown of evolution, must realize his responsibility for any form of life and understand that the value of our world lies not only in himself, but in the creatures that inhabit him. What will we leave to our children? A world full of unique, uncommon or simply beautiful creatures, or the scorched flora and fauna, whose best representatives disappeared from the face of the earth solely because of our indifference or cruelty.
