Raspberry ordinary: description, landing, benefit

Raspberry is a plant of the Rosaceae family. Its rhizomes are meandering, woody, with a multitude of accessory roots, spreading in all directions. Stems straight, up to 1.8 m. Leaves complex, oval-narrowed, regular. On the first Year of life the shoots are green, not stiff, covered with small spines, they do not form fruits. In the axils of the leaves, only the fruit buds are laid. In the second year of the life of the shoot, fruiting twigs will grow.

Blossoms raspberry in the end of June with small white flowers, collected in carpal inflorescences. Flowering and fruiting stretched. Fruits are the hairy stems, fused into a complex fetus on the peduncle. In cultivated varieties, the stony roots grow together so tightly that the fetus does not disintegrate when collected. The color and taste of the fruit depends on the variety. They can be yellow and red, sweet and sour-sweet.

In one place raspberries can grow for a long time, up to 15 years. Place under the landing should be protected from wind, near fences or buildings. It should be illuminated by sunlight most of the day, otherwise the fruiting will be weak, and the fruits will acquire an acidic taste.

The optimal time for laying the raspberries is the second decade of September, when the growth of plants is suspended, and the leaves begin to fall off. The soil should be thoroughly prepared: dig at a depth of 30 cm, selecting the rhizome of weeds, make organomineral compost (about 5 kg / m 2 ). Raspberry can be planted by offspring in one row or several, with a distance of at least 2 m between rows and 0.6 m between plants.

Plant roots before planting should be inspected, cut out damaged and shortened too long. After the seedling must be placed in a pit without penetrating the root neck. The roots must be straightened, their ends should not bend upward. Then the seedling should be covered with nutrient soil, compact the soil and water abundantly, despite the soil moisture. It is desirable to immediately cover the planting with a layer of about 7 cm. Under such conditions, the root system will be easier to survive. In addition, mulch will not allow the germination of weeds and will not allow pests to appear.

A rather demanding culture is raspberry. Care consists of watering, Fertilizing, loosening of the soil, the formation of bushes and autumn cutting of the shoots that have proliferated. Watering should be such that the soil is soaked to a depth of at least 35 cm. Extra fertilizing with plenty of organic material (manure, compost, plant remains) is extremely important, without them a good harvest can not wait. Malinnik should be spared from weeds. If the soil was clouded, then in autumn mulch should be collected (in it pests are collected for the winter) and replaced with new ones.
