Quilling: snowflakes for beginners. Snowflakes in quilling technique: schemes

There is not one master class from which you can learn how to create a snowflake-quilling. For beginners, this is completely not difficult, if you expand the entire process on the shelves.

What is quilling?

Quilling technology originated in European countries more than five hundred years ago and implies the tightening of paper strips and their combination in various patterns and crafts.

To create crafts in the quilling technique (snowflakes, for example), a minimum of tools is required: an awl (can be replaced with a toothpick), tweezers, scissors and glue. The most important material is paper, which is cut into strips. Most often for strips are used strips about three millimeters wide.

Simple Snowflake

This craft is done very easily and does not require special skills.

Master class, how to do in the technique of quilling snowflakes:

  1. Take a sheet of plain paper and draw the same lines with a ruler and a pencil.
  2. Cut the sheet into strips.
  3. Take an awl or toothpick and attach the edge of the paper strip to its end.
  4. Wind the strip on the tool.
  5. Glue the end of the strip to the resulting coil and gently remove the roll from the silk.
  6. Make one more such coil, only now it needs to be squeezed slightly with fingers from one side.
  7. Make five more of these coils-droplets.
  8. Take the first card and paste six "droplets" to it.
  9. Now roll six coils and squeeze and fingers from two opposite sides. Should be a figure that resembles the shape of the eyes.
  10. Then glue the new parts between the petals of the snowflake.
  11. Take three strips, bend them in half and cut them. As a result, you will get six short stripes.
  12. From the new strips twist the six coils.
  13. Glue a new coil to each end of the eye piece.
  14. Now make of the long strips of six more coils, just a little more in size than the first. For this, do not tighten the paper.
  15. Glue the new coils on top of the "droplet" detail between the small rolls.
  16. Make six more coils and bend their sides with your fingers so that the square turns out.
  17. Glue them with the top to the big coils.
  18. Take a pencil and wrap a paper strip around it.
  19. Glue the end of the strip and remove the coil.
  20. Glue a new coil to one of the snowflake peaks and thread the ribbon or thread into the ring.

Such snowflakes in the quilling technique will look beautiful on the tree, doors or windows. Even after the end of the New Year holidays, many still long do not want to shoot this beauty.

Snowflakes (quilling) - gluing schemes

Just from the detail of one form, you can make a lot of different snowflakes. To do this, cut a lot of the same length and width of strips, take an awl or toothpick and wind rolls. Make more than ten units of identical coils, and then glue them together to make snowflakes (quilling). Schemes can be any, for example, as in the picture above.

In all cases, the process of gluing the coils should begin from the middle of the craft. That is, glue together the details so that they form a circle. Then continue to stick other coils. In some types, the rolls must fit tightly together, in others the center should be hollow.

More complex crafts

To make delicate snowflakes in the quilling technique, it takes more time and perseverance. But the result is worth it.

Instructions for creating openwork snowflakes:

  1. Prepare paper strips, tweezers and glue (Figure 1).
  2. Fold the five strips in half (Figure 2).
  3. Lubricate one end of the strip with glue and glue it to the middle with tweezers (Figures 3 and 4).
  4. The second half of the strip is wrapped around the petal and glue its end (Figures 5, 6 and 7).
  5. Saddle four more similar petals, only one must be less than the previous one. All you need are six petals of each kind (Figure 8).
  6. Take the smallest petal and brush its tip with glue (Figure 9).
  7. Glue the petal in the middle of the other (Figure 10).
  8. Assemble in a similar manner all five petals (Figure 11).
  9. Collect all six petals (Figure 12).
  10. Squeeze the finished petal with your fingers, making it elongated (Figure 13).
  11. Give the oblate shape to all six petals (Figure 14).
  12. Glue together all the petals (Figure 15).
  13. Cut six more strips and bend them in half (Figure 16).
  14. Cut six strips, bend them in half and cut the ends obliquely (Figure 17)
  15. Screw each end onto an awl or toothpick (illustration 18).
  16. At a distance of 3.5 centimeters from the middle, glue the coil (Figure 19).
  17. Lightly press on each vertex of the petal to make it fluff (illustration 20).
  18. Between the petals glue "stamens" (Figure 21).
  19. Insert strips with beveled edges inside the "stamens" and glue them (Figure 22).
  20. Take loose tinsel and sprinkle them with a snowflake (Figure 23).

The snowflake is ready!

Advice

  1. You can do in the technique of quilling snowflakes-candlesticks. To do this, collect two crafts of different sizes - one smaller, another larger. Then just glue one on top of the other. In the one that will be on top, the middle should be empty. This is where the candle-tablet will be inserted.
  2. As a decor for snowflakes, you can use beads, crystals, sequins and the like.
  3. To achieve an openwork appearance, expand your knowledge and make coils of different shapes.

Basic forms of quilling

There are twelve forms of coils that the quilling technique has. Snowflakes can be done, applying as any one, and using everything.

  1. Open coil: the end of the strip is not glued.
  2. Closed coil: the end is glued.
  3. Thick coil: the strip is stretched throughout the entire work and the end is tightly adhered.
  4. Large coil: to create a pencil is used.
  5. Drop: one end is pressed with fingers.
  6. Eye: with your fingers, you press both ends.
  7. Petal: the coil is compressed and bends on one side.
  8. Sheet: the coil is compressed from both sides and waves are made.
  9. Curls: the strip is folded in half, and then the ends are wound into the appropriate sides (inside, inside out, in different).

After you become acquainted with the main points, you can proceed to more complex quilling work.
