"The Serpent"

Characteristic features of Emelyanova's style are lightness and humor. Satirism should be present in the fables. It is in the works of Aesop, Lafontaine, and Krylov. The modern fabulist follows the laws of the genre, as can be seen by reading the poem "Serpent". The author of the fable ridicules envy, revenge, inability to self-criticism.

The hero of the work - the snake - sees swans in the distance, approaches them. He suddenly thinks that he is one of them. However, beautiful birds do not recognize kinship with the serpent and ridicule it. Bragging of this character can be compared with the stupidity of a crow from the fable of Krylov - a bird who believed in his rare vocal gift.

"Benefit"

This poem does not refer to short poetic works. The vocabulary the author uses is quite simple. In the fable there are words that could hardly be used by poets of the nineteenth century.
