Proskurin Peter Lukich: family, biography, creativity

Children of the Great War - this can be called a pleiad of Soviet writers who came to great literature in the middle of the twentieth century. Due to their young age, many of them did not take part in hostilities. Long days of occupation, the gallows and executions, hunger, hatred and hope - they saved such childish memories in their memory. Proskurin belongs to the generation of writers who were born before the war (1941-1945). Peter was born in a small village near the town of Sevsk (Bryansk region) on January 22, 1928.

Originally from childhood

Kosice is an unremarkable village not far from the border with Ukraine. 1928 was especially remembered for the villagers - the Soviet authorities accelerated collectivization at an accelerated pace. With the active participation of the writer's father, Luke Proskurin, a collective farm was formed in Kosice. The children's memory photographed the discreet beauty of the nature of the native places photographed: meadow grass and a cool stream, the vast expanse of fields and the dry ringing of a pine forest. And still remember the old hut and eerie groans of wind in the chimney. In the works of Petr Proskurin, the first childhood impressions always fit organically.

In 1934 the family moved to Sevsk. Provincial town with a rich historical past became for the writer a small homeland. Morning fishing on the river Sev, mysterious ancient Gorodok (the historical center of Sevsk) and the ruins of the ancient church of the Sign. Curious children kept up everywhere. In those years, the boy's love for reading was awakened. This was promoted by the teacher AM Andrianov, in the class of which Proskurin studied. Peter completely abandoned household chores and forgot about street entertainment. Soon there were no unread books in the city library.

War

The invasion of the Nazis interrupted the peaceful course of life in the quiet Sevsk. Two months after the outbreak of the war, the city was captured by German troops - the period of occupation began. The horrors of the war were saved by books, recalled Proskurin. Peter continued to read furiously. Mother considered it a whim and did not approve. But the teacher, Alexandra Mitrofanovna, secretly gave her student literature from the home library.

At the same time, the future writer started composing poetry. He wrote on everything that came to hand - on scraps of German newspapers, on the page ruthlessly pulled from the grandmother's Bible. It became some kind of unconscious vital need. Among the nightmares of war and fear of tomorrow, there was a spiritual need for poetic self-expression. Love of poetry has been preserved for life.

Path searching

After graduation, Peter worked on the collective farm. Later he recalled that he worked as a mason and carpenter, sowed bread and plowed. During the difficult postwar period, life in the village was difficult. In 1950, Peter was drafted into the Soviet Army - he served in the air defense forces near Moscow (Reutovo). By this time the first publication of poems in the newspaper "Red Warrior" also applies. They were printed under the pseudonym P. Rosin.

In the country there were large construction projects, and after the demobilization in 1953, Petr Proskurin did not return to his homeland, but went to his aunt in Grozny. Later enlisted in the orgagna and went to master the Far East. In Kamchatka he chopped and rafted the forest, was a chauffeur and a raft. In these years there was also a literary debut. In Khabarovsk an acquaintance with the journalist S. Roslym took place. He read some of the work of a budding writer and helped him with the organization of the first publications.

In 1958, the regional newspaper printed the story "The Price of Bread", and young writer Proskurin came to great literature. By that time Petr Lukich had already moved to Khabarovsk (1957).

Becoming

Two years later, the local book publishing house published the novel "Deep Wounds" (1960) - the first great work of a budding writer. In the center of the plot is the fate of the Bryansk partisans and underground members. Heroes are ordinary Soviet people, for whom military hard times have become a test of courage, courage, patriotism. I liked the book. Four years later, the second edition of this novel was held. A small book "Taiga Song" (a collection of short stories) in 1960 published in the publishing house "Soviet Russia". Later these works were included in all collections of the author's works as an example of his early work.

The sixties were very fruitful for the writer. He created several novels. One of them is "Roots are exposed in a storm" (1962), which tells about the life of Far Eastern loggers. The novel "Bitter Grass" was released in the Novosibirsk edition ("Siberian Lights", 1964). Moscow publishers were afraid to publish it, because in them Proskurin subjected critical thinking to the state of the postwar recovery of the country's economy.

Book after book

After graduating from the Higher Literary Courses in Moscow (1962-1964), Pyotr Lukich left for the Eagle. In this period, from his pen, several major works are published: "Exodus" (1966) and "Carnelian stone" (1968). The fate of the little orphan Kolki is tragically traced in the center of a short story "The Love of Man" (1965). The boy who lost his father in the war is serious, responsible and with a great filial sense of love for his Motherland.

In Orel, the writer conceived a trilogy, which was to cover a large time period of the Soviet period of Russian history. The move to Moscow (1968), the work of the Pravda special correspondent and literary cooperation with many publications (Ogonyok, Nash Sovremennik, Moskva, etc.) did not distract the author from this idea. The first book of the trilogy is the novel "Destiny" (1972). Work on this work was marked by the award to them. M. Gorky. Later, the following parts were written - the novels "Your Name" (1978) and "Renunciation" (1987). The trilogy will be included in all the collected works of PL Proskurin. In 1974, the favorite characters of the trilogy stepped onto the big screen.

Zakhar Deryugin and others

Proskurin's magnificent prose literally pushed the adaptation of the novel "Destiny" - the feature film "Love of the Earth" - to the top of the audience's success. A simple story: a communist, collective farm leader and father of three children Zahar Deryugin fell in love with a young woman Manya Polivanov. The truthful, recognizable plot and star composition of the artists brought the picture a tremendous success.

As a result of the rental in 1975, this picture took the 5th place in the list of the highest grossing films. At the same time, the thoughts expressed by the author through the characters of the film contained critical assessments of Soviet reality and did not lose relevance to the present day. Perhaps, such boldness became the guarantee of the steady success of the novel and its adaptation to viewers and readers. In the composition of the crew of the painting "Love of the Earth" Peter Lukich received the State Prize in the field of literature and art (1979).

The living classic

The 80's were a stormy period in the life of the Soviet Union. Proskurin belongs to the editorial board of the popular newspaper "Roman-Gazeta" and writes a lot. At this time the Sovremennik publishing house publishes a five-volume collection of the author's works (1981-1983) - a kind of literary report by the writer. For creative achievements, Pyotr Lukich was awarded the highest award - the title of Hero of Socialist Labor (1988).

Proscurina's clear civil position was expressed in 1990. In the "Letter of the 74", which he signed along with other cultural figures, a protest was expressed against the defamation of the Russian people and the falsification of history. The author's last novel is "The Number of the Beast". It was published in the "Roman-Gazeta" in 1999. October 26, 2001 PL Proskurin died.

Wife of the writer, LR Proskurina, made a lot of efforts to preserve the creative legacy of Peter Lukich and the memory of the great writer. His name is the library and square in Bryansk. Children - Alexei and Ekaterina - continued the literary dynasty and became journalists.
