History of the appearance and repertoire of the theater

The Volga Drama Theater is quite young, as it appeared not so long ago, in 2008. The basis for its creation was the Youth Experimental Theater. The main initiative to create the Volga Drama Theater was the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation - Vyacheslav Grishechkin. The theater is famous for its rich repertoire, consisting of performances not only of Russian, but also of foreign classics and contemporaries. A distinctive feature of the Volga Drama Theater is creativity, namely the use of innovative ideas and experiments to create performances for both adults and children. That is why, despite such a young age, it enjoys such popularity among all generations.

  • "A good man from ..." B. Brecht - a play in two acts directed by A. Grishin.
  • "Tartuffe", J. Moliere - a comedy in two acts of the director A. Minin.
  • "Not a modest charm of the bourgeoisie," M. Kamoletti - a comedy based on the play "Duet on Canapé," directed by Vyacheslav Grishechkin.
  • "Buratino.ru", T. Churzina - the play directed by A. Ivanov.

Children's performances:

  • "Mowgli" - the director Olga Galushkina.
  • "Mysterious Hippo", A. Minin - a musical fairy tale for young children, directed by Alexander Minin.
  • "Starry Boy", O. Wilde - fairy tale-parable directed by Alexander Minin.
  • "Pippi Longstocking" - a performance based on the tale of Astrid Lindgren, director Alexander Minin.
  • "Little Red Riding Hood" is a musical fairy tale based on Charles Perrault, directed by Vyacheslav Grishechkin.

Actors of the Volga Drama Theater

In the theater staff there are more than thirty remarkable actors who work for the benefit of their native institution. Among them are Nikolai Varavin, Vitaly Mandzhukich, Tatyana Belousova, Olga Abalmasova, Vyacheslav Starchikov, Zinaida Lazareva, Stepan Gaya, Ksenia Flyagina, Nikolai Porutchikov, Anastasia Kurchavel and Nikolay Krasnopolsky. One of the most beloved actresses of this theater, undoubtedly, is Valentina Vasilievna Grachev.
