Botanical characteristics

Pomeranets is a perennial and evergreen plant, its historical homeland is India. There, as well as in the Mediterranean, where it was brought by Arab merchants, this tree, despite a rather shallow root system, reaches a height of 6-12 meters. The crown is highly branched, with leaves spirally arranged. Blossoms chinotto from April to May. Snow-white flowers of this plant, which have a wonderful aroma, are 2-3 cm in diameter. They can be arranged either singly or in small inflorescences. They develop in the sinuses. After pollination, the oblong ovaries are formed on the spot of the flowers, which are then rounded and, in a mature state, outwardly resemble the most common orange.

The fruit of the orange is berry-shaped and consists of 10-12 small lobules, which hide under a bright orange thick and bumpy skin. The ripe fruit of bigara has an acid-bitter taste.

Application in Cooking

Pomeranets is a plant whose fruits do not eat fresh. Peaches, flowers and leaves of this tree are used. The dried peel is used in winemaking, as well as for the manufacture of various confectionery products, such as ice cream, Cakes, muffins and cakes. Often, orange peel is added to curd desserts and various creams, which it stains in a light yellow color. In the ground form it is added to jams, compotes and kissels, and candied from it very much like Europeans. In cooking, the powder from the peel of the orange is used to flavor meat and fish dishes, dishes from rice and poultry.

Healing properties
