Polyamide (fabric): what is it and where is it used?

Polyamide (cloth) - what is it? As a result of chemical processing of oil, coal, natural gas, receive a whole group of fibers. They include nylon, capron, perlon, silon. Called it all in one word - polyamide (Polyamide). Polyamide fabric is classified as a synthetic material. In the textile industry, before all artificial fibers, the dominant position in the world market was polyamide (fabric). What is it and where is it used?

It was widely used in the middle of the last century. Surface fabric polyamide is more often rough, but can be smooth and shiny. Matter from this raw material, thanks to an easy, not labor-intensive painting, produces a variety of colors.

Polyamide - fabric composition

Products from this raw material, thanks to their properties, are very popular. But not many know that the raw material is called "polyamide" (cloth). What is it, we learn, having examined its composition and properties.

In order to remove the shortcomings of the tissue, the scientists found a way of introducing into the structure of fibers a variety of stabilizers with which polyamide began to possess the main advantages. This is an excellent breathability, quick drying, strength, softness and lightness, as well as resistance to moisture. The fabric well resists the effects of non-chemical and biochemical reagents.

Like any other product, along with advantages there are disadvantages. The material burns in the sun, after a few washings it becomes brittle, it is badly blown, it has an increased electroneability. Polyamide fiber melts without smell and does not burn, as a result of melting a soft ball is formed.

What is 100% polyamide (cloth)?

Strictly speaking, this is nylon. Dense, light, yet soft fabric. It can be folded or folded to the smallest size. It is very user-friendly and almost weightless. It is used mainly in light industry, it is made of outerwear - raincoats, windbreakers, jackets, down jackets. These things are well kept and keep in shape, very tolky and durable, do not crumple, easily wear off, they are not ironed, they dry fast, do not get wet and reliably protect from the wind.

Range of use

Polyamide fabric has found its application in the manufacture of consumer goods.
Due to the fact that it is produced in the form of yarns, constantly winding on reels, fishing nets and all kinds of ropes are made from it. This is the most expensive fiber of all, which have an artificial origin. In the process of weaving, the textured fibers are created, from which the polyamide (fabric) is obtained. What is it and what are they combined with? Very often polyamide yarn is twisted with woolen or cotton fibers, thereby creating a new fabric, firm and stable. Compared with polyester, polyamide has greater durability and strength.

Cloth Care Polyamide

Just like most synthetic fabrics, polyamide is well washed by hand. Cleaning can also be done in a washing machine at a temperature of no more than 40 degrees. It dries well quickly in the air, while it is better to hang it in a wet condition. In a centrifuge, do not dry. Do not use bleach. Ironing recommended with a warm iron, without the use of steam.
