Pistol mounting. Its types and purposes

Often in the construction and repair there is a need to attach any materials to the building grounds. An excellent replacement for manual installation is the mounting gun. It is customary to distinguish powder, gas and pneumatic guns (staple guns, for example, a construction stapler).

The powder gun functions due to the energy of the expanding powder gases. With its help, dowel-nails are hammered into a metal, concrete, expanded clay and brick foundations. For the stationary fixation, nails with a classic hat are used. To install the structures to be dismantled - dowel screws. Such a construction and assembly pistol does not need electricity and thus stands out against the background of other tools. With its help, you can carry out installation work away from electricity, for example, in a newly built house, on the street, etc. Energy is produced by non-pulsed cartridges with charges of different power. The strength of each charge depends on the type of construction foundation. The cartridges, depending on the power, are divided into seven groups, and each group is painted in a separate color. To have such an assembly gun, you need a proper permit. Care of it is reduced to cleaning from powder sludge, but it must be done quite often. The fragility of the pistol and the piston, as well as the difficult selection of the charge power, are serious drawbacks to this type of tool.

The gas mounting gun has an uncomplicated operating principle. A gas mixture (propane-butane) is fed from the cylinder into the combustion chamber. There, using an electric fan, a gas-air explosive mixture is formed. The battery gives a spark that ignites it, and a mini-explosion occurs. The kinetic energy produced as a result of this explosion pushes the piston with the force necessary for driving the nail. At the same time, the density of the surface plays little role. However, the strength of the fastening depends on it. So, in a wooden base, the nail will sit less firmly than in the metal. The advantage of such a device, of course, is that it can be used to adjust to steel. Consumables in the gas mounting gun are nails of small caliber, which have undergone special heat treatment. Also, for each individual type of material, nails are selected from a specific series. It's easy to take care of a gas gun: 30 thousand shots should be cleaned and lubricated only once. Such pistols of various modifications are produced, which allows them to be widely used for electrical installation, for roofing and carpentry works, for adjusting the gypsum board guides.

The mounting gun is produced in a wide range of different companies. Among them are Ramset, BeA, Hilti, SPIT, Bosch, Skil, Paslode, OJSC Tula Arms Factory, etc. The prices for the models fluctuate depending on the functional purpose and type of instrument and range from 2 thousand rubles (staple household) to 30 thousand Rubles (a gas pistol for electricians). Therefore, it is important to determine beforehand exactly what kind of work the assembly gun is purchased for and who will be used.
