Pigeon of the world (hand-made paper): scheme

The dove of the world is a symbol of peace and harmony, created for the first time by Ellis Gray of paper. This is a traditional scheme for beginners who try themselves in origami. Professionals went further, creating two-color voluminous pigeons from square and triangular modules. Let us consider in more detail how to make paper birds in two ways.

What are doves?

The dove, made in a simple origami technique, is made from a sheet of paper. In different ways, you can make the pigeon stand with its tail lowered or fluffed, with folded and straightened wings, with and without paws, with and without tuft, bulky or flat, in flight and walking.

Where is a simple dove of peace made of paper? Having created dozens of multi-colored paper birds, attach them to the line. Get the original curtains or pendant for the shade. Extravagant women of fashion make earrings with paper birds. Craftsmen use paper models for panels, postcards, mini-paintings.

Modular pigeon is a voluminous craft. And you can make from the square details of the panel or from triangular - a voluminous souvenir gift. The pigeon can be monophonic, two-colored (beak and legs red) or multicolored to emphasize the shades of feathers. But as a symbol of the world, the dove should be white.

Simple origami: dove of the world

Let's try to make a paper dove, which is about to take off. To do this, take a square sheet, repeat the following steps.

  • Fold the square diagonally.
  • The resulting triangle fold in half, forming a similar small figure.
  • On each side, take one corner of the base and attach it to the other.
  • You will get an even smaller triangle.
  • The top on each side is bent to the bottom.
  • Now expand to a large triangle, where the fold marks a small figure.
  • Bend this small triangle inside the figure. The lateral side also bends inward, forming a triangle from the wrong side, and outside the shape of the boat.
  • On the other hand, do the same, forming a boat (trapezoid).
  • Further on each side, fold the wings along the fold line, leaving a small triangle from the end.
  • From this triangle make the bird's head. On each side, bend the figure obliquely.
  • Then arch the received pyramid and fill the corner.
  • Now go to the tail. Fold the triangle obliquely on each side.
  • Bend the figure, where the lines outlined two triangles, which fold in half.

Pay attention, at each stage of the line you need to clearly work with your hands or a metal ruler. This is the basic rule of simple origami.

Pigeon of the world: the scheme of the trunk and the breast

For the pigeon, 659 white, 17 pink modular triangles, glue, "running" small eyes will be needed. Create a bird starting from the trunk.

1-3 row collect of ten modules, closed in a circle.

4-6 row increase by five triangles (15 pieces per circle).

7-10 row - add seven more modules (you get 22 pieces for each row).

11-12 cut into two parts, getting 20 (for this module at the same distance put on three corners).

The puff of a dove is formed from four rows. Note that the first two rows of modules are inserted with the long side outward (in the usual way), and the last two rows with the short side.

The 13 row consists of thirteen modules that form the breast of the pigeon.

14 collect of twelve triangles.

15 increase the row by one module, obtaining 13 parts, which you put on the short side outward.

16 Collect twelve pieces also with a short side outwards.

The neck and head of a modular pigeon

We continue to make modular origami "Dove of the World". The circuit in all rows is the same: all the modules are inserted with the short side outwards.

17 the series begins with seven modules left intact in the 12th row.

18 series consists of six parts.

19 collect of five triangles.

20 make of four modules.

21 - add up to five triangles.

22 row - reduce to four parts.

23 - again consists of five modules.

24 and 25 rows are cut consecutively for one piece.

26 and 27 again consist of four and three pieces respectively.

28 and 29 rows - repeat the previous step (4 and 3 parts).

Gently bend the neck to the breast so that it hangs over it. Next, you begin to collect the pigeon's head separately.

1 row consists of three parts.

2 - increase up to four triangles.

3 row - add to one module, forming 5 parts.

4-5 series consist of four modules.

The resulting head is glued to the inner side of the neck (the angles of the triangles inward).

Tail of a modular bird

Pigeon of the world of paper is almost ready. Separately collect the tail of a bird, consisting of nine rows.

1 row consists of seven modules.

2 collect of eight triangles.

3 - again add one part, forming 9 modules.

4 row down to eight triangles.

The 5 row consists of nine parts.

6 - eight modules.

Now form the feather base of the tail. Make 8 feathers of three rows at a time. First, put two triangles with free pockets outward. In them, insert two modules inside the pockets. Then you put one triangle on top of them. It turns out a kind of fan with eight peaks.

If before this moment the dove of the world did not cause complications, then it would be necessary to tinker with wings, since it is necessary to insert triangular modules with a shift to the right or to the left, forming a line of feathers and internal bending of the wing. Wings do individually. A detailed diagram is shown for one wing, the second one is done in a mirror image.

Wing scheme

1-9 the row consists of eight modules, with each row shifted one triangle in the opposite direction. It turns out a kind of rhombus.

10 row cut to seven parts.

11-12 row collect of six triangles.

13 consists of five modules.

14-16 row you collect from four triangles.

17-18 consists of three modules.

19-20 series make of two parts.

21-22 - insert one triangle each.

Wings determine what kind of movement our dove of the world is doing. Crafting requires care, patience and painstakingness. Note that triangles need to be inserted so that on one side to form a smooth bend of the wing, and on the other - to form the inner side.

The second wing is done in a mirror image, that is, at the first wing the line of feathers is on the outside, and when you create the second wing it is directed into the inside of your palm. Each wing carefully fold.

Assembling a dove

Return to the head. The glue must dry out. Now you can make a beak without fear of breakage. Take the pink triangular module and insert it in the middle of the head. Then glue the wings, tail to the trunk. As you can see, the dove of the world is almost ready. A hand-made paper in origami technique should be strong, stable, so use the glue "Moment".

It remains to make paws from the pink modules. You insert five triangles into each other, getting a vertical bar. Turn it upside down. Bottom on the sides of the module glue along the triangle. The inner corners of these two parts are greased with glue, put on top another module, forming a paw.

Similarly, make a second paw. While glue dries, cut out eyes from black paper, paste on the sides of the head. You can use the store "running" eyes, then the craft will be even more beautiful. Then stick the paws to the body. Do not try to put the bird on its feet, let the artifact dry.

Summarizing

From simple origami, the dove of the world will quickly turn out. The hand-made paper in modular technology looks more elegant, elegant, unusual, but it takes more time to create it. It is better for beginners to learn simple products from triangular modules, and then proceed to create a dove.

In addition, mindfulness is needed not only when connecting triangles, but also when gluing parts. For example, in a flying bird, the wings should be convex, if they are concave, the dove will turn unnatural. The tail must be glued so that the bird can rest on it in a standing position.
