Pests At the Dacha - Grozdevaya Listoverka

Grozdevaya leafwood belongs to the Listoverok family, it is a pest of grapes. The 12 mm butterfly has a marble pattern of wings, alternating with greenish, lead and yellowish tints. Eggs have a yellowish hue, are transparent, elongated. Caterpillars are often green, sometimes also olive-colored with golden scutes on their heads. Half-centimeter caterpillar pest has an olive-brown color of the body. As a rule, three-generation canvasses survive for three generations.

Winter pupae of an insect are carried out in cracks in the bark of the plant or in the soil at the base of the stem. In spring, when the air temperature reaches a 14-degree mark, the pest begins, lasting about a month. The life span of an insect female is about 4 days, during this time the leaf-trolling is capable of laying out hundreds of eggs. Caterpillars of eggs go out about 10 days after laying. The first generation of caterpillars chooses flowers, young ovaries and buds of the plant. Caterpillars of the second and third generations begin to eat berries, in the process of feeding, wrapping them in cobwebs, as a result of which in the rainy weather the berries of the plant begin to decay. Thus, a green leaf spinner can destroy up to half of a crop.

Most of all, leaf varieties are attacked by grape varieties with a dense cluster, for example, Riesling or Biruintsa. This is not the only pest of grapes.

In the fight against such pests, the implementation of spraying the vineyard with insecticides such as sumicidin, sevyn, cidial, fosalon, cymboush, tocution, ekamet, flufenoksuron, parathion helps to combat such pests. It is possible to mix such drugs with fungicides and associated use against fungal parasites. Usually the need for such treatments is necessary only for the second generation of pest caterpillars. About a month before harvesting, the treatment should be stopped. In the fight against grozdevoy leaf-tin, the use of the trap method with bait is possible. It consists in suspending plastic bottles filled with wine (from grape vyshimki). The amount of butterflies caught in such a trap is primarily affected by the humidity of the air. So, in dry weather, when the need for moisture increases, so does the catch of such a pest. Another measure of struggle against leaf-litter is light traps. However, a similar method is used to capture primarily males, which in fact do not determine the course of egg laying. A good way to get rid of such pests is the product of spraying with the help of biological products. The most effective in this case is the use of a drug called Bacillus Turinensis.
