Payments to veterans of military operations

Preferential payments to veterans of military operations are fixed in the legislative act of Russia, which is called "On Veterans". Later, it was processed several times, and now there is a new project that requires approval. Based on the first paragraph of the third article, the category of veterans includes servicemen participating in combat missions and armed conflicts. Since August 1999, it has been listed here as counterterrorism operations. The law provides participants of military events, including ordinary soldiers, with a legal and social guarantee of protection. Its purpose is to create these people worthy living conditions, to ensure deserved respect in society. And although the law is in force, much about him is unknown to people. Often on television, in newspapers, on the radio, you can hear the question of what payments veterans of military operations are laid, and how they can be achieved. After all, there are cases where those who are entitled to privileges are not using them just because they do not know anything about them.

If to give a general answer, all the benefits of a veteran of military operations are in cash payments every month and the availability of a set of standard social services, which includes a publicly paid trip to the place of treatment, provision of medicines and vouchers for treatment, rehabilitation or simply rest.

In addition, the Federal Law of the Russian Federation provides the following benefits and payments to veterans of military operations operating throughout the country:

- payment of utilities and rent is taken in the amount of 50% of the existing one, and it applies to all members of the veteran's family living together;

- guaranteed service in various types of medical institutions and, in addition, receiving emergency medical care, which is provided by programs of state guarantees in health care;

- a preferential pension to veterans of military operations, fixed by law;

- provision of housing and improvement of living conditions for those who managed to get on housing registration before January 2005, at the expense of the state;

- installation of the phone in the apartment in the first place;

- in the manner established by the government, veterans are provided with prostheses (except dental) and prosthetic and orthopedic products;

- A holiday is used every year not on a schedule, but at a convenient time; On request, unpaid leave of up to 35 days per year is granted;

- tickets for all types of transport are provided out of turn;

- the refresher courses are held at the employer's expense;

- Out-of-competition admission to the majority of higher and secondary state educational institutions, payment of special scholarships.

Today, despite all the above benefits and payments to war veterans, State Duma deputies introduced a draft of a new law that considers the status of these people. There are additions to the existing formulations and new proposals have been made. The draft states that the state will continue to develop programs for the social protection of combatants - this will be allocated the necessary funds.

The new Federal Law applies to all combatants permanently residing in Russia. They have the right to social protection and economic welfare. All this provides the rights to secure a pension, benefits for the payment of taxes and benefits. The pension work experience of belligerent contract soldiers, as well as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the penitentiary system, is calculated on the principle of one month and a half. For those who are constantly in a state of emergency, a month is counted for three.
