• Paper for the pattern;
• Scissors, pins, a needle, a pencil, a sewing chalk;

Print out the sample on the right scale, cut out the details and place it on the fabric. If you do not have a printer, put the glass with the glued transparent film (the file from the folder for papers will fit ) to the monitor, circle the handle of the part.

When the paper elements of the pattern are ready, do the following:

1. Fold the fabric in several layers (according to the number of petals), pin with a pin on the braid, circle with the allowances for seams. Cut out the contour. The same can be done with each element individually. Choose the method that suits you best.
2. You can number the parts.
3. Sew two elements.
4. Add the following.
   
5. When the "bag" is ready, it remains to turn it to the front and fill it with sintepon.
   
6. Sew a hole or first perform a neck. For strength, you can insert a rod into the head so that it does not bend on one side if the neck is not sufficiently tightly packed.
7. The rest of the details are carried out according to the same principle: sew on the wrong side, turn it out, fill it with stuffing material, sew it to the base. A ready-made template allows you to significantly speed up the work.

The use of schemes helps the novice to perform the product quickly, but if you already have experience in needlework, you may want to develop the appearance, proportions of the character, in a word, create an individual image.

Make your own handmade patterns of textile dolls-pumpkin head is also easy. The main thing is to build the parts correctly, from which the ball will be sewn. The shape of the petal is easy to do as follows:

1. Fold the small rectangle of paper in half vertically.
2. Fold the workpiece horizontally.
3. Cut off the excess diagonally in the form of an arc.
4. Unfold the part.

How to make the head realistic

When the base is completed, you need to give the character a certain expression of the face, emotions. This largely determines which image will be created. Eyes, lips, eyebrows are made in three ways:

1. They are embroidered.
2. Are applied by a paint.
3. The finished elements are glued.

Plastic eyes and even cilia can be bought in the store for needlework. If you decide to paint with a brush, you should use acrylic paints (there are special for the fabric). To color retained the brightness, it is better to first apply a PVA glue on the surface. It is better to embroider a little face before cutting out the details, since it is convenient to fasten a large flap in the embroidery frame.

As for the hair, they are usually made from yarn. Also use a mulina or artificial hair. First a hairstyle is formed, which is then fixed on the head.

If you did not find the fabric of the right shade, you can easily make the desired color by dropping the material into an infusion of tea or coffee. The latter will also give a pleasant aroma. It is better to paint a large flap, but the shade is worth checking on a small one. Samples will help determine the strength of the infusion and the time of aging in it. After the fabric has dried, but not completely, slightly moist it needs to be ironed, so that the shade does not fade or smear.

Which outfit to choose
