Partisans of the Second World War are people with a capital letter

The Great Patriotic War became a test for the entire population of our Motherland. Not only the soldiers fought on the front line, but the entire nation of the country, one way or another, took part in the hostilities. Someone worked in factories on several shifts in time to supply our army with ammunition, and someone at the cost of his own health pulled the wounded soldiers from the battlefield. Also, partisan detachments were organized - people were willingly defending the land of their country, destroying the enemy from the rear, while the front-line troops were advancing on the front line.

These brave people in all possible and even impossible ways prevented the German fascist invaders from moving deeper into the country and carrying with them violence and blood.

Partisans of the Great Patriotic War selflessly pursued and destroyed the enemy: they created intolerable conditions for the fascist soldiers, damaged telecommunications, blew up bridges and warehouses, since their main combat activity was the destruction of communications. For this purpose, they used both improvised explosives and improved "mines of Colonel Starinov."

On November 15, 1943, the partisans of the Great Patriotic War destroyed the Dnieper-Bug Canal, which was a very convenient means of transportation for German soldiers. The Germans tried to restore the canal, but the partisans again destroyed it, despite the enemy's strength. Also, the partisans of the Great Patriotic War organized sabotage, destroying the enemy's infrastructure, went to reconnaissance, assisted the troops, and mobilized the entire combat-able population. This is all, without which it was practically impossible to repulse the advancing troops of the enemy. By these actions, they disrupted Hitler's plans, causing a tangible loss to the German army.

The Nazis constantly felt danger in the territory of the Soviet Union. This not only suppressed the moral balance of the German soldiers, it was also a real threat.

The first organized detachments of partisans were few in number - no more than ten people. However, the number of people in partisan detachments began to increase and reached 200 people about the rapid advance of the fascists into the territory of our country. All these heroes were loyal to their homeland.

Commander-in-Chief of the partisan movement in September 1942, K.E. Voroshilov, and it was he who was able to fully coordinate the actions of all partisan detachments. Thanks to this, our ancestors could cause even greater damage to the enemy.

The guerrilla movement was created on the territories of all the republics that are part of the Soviet Union. Pinsk partisan detachment was the most famous on the territory of Belarus. His commander was V.Z. Korzh. Already by 1942, the detachments of the partisans of Belarus had grown so strong that they could smash whole enemy garrisons.

After the Pinsk region was completely liberated, some partisan detachments of Belarus joined the ranks of the front-line soldiers and continued to fight the German fascist invaders.

It is difficult to assess the merits of these organized detachments. Because of their actions, the enemy was unable to forward several thousand echelons to the front, since the partisans of the Second World War disabled two and a half thousand locomotives.

People of any nationality, who considered the Soviet Union their homeland, spared no life, joined the struggle against the Hitlerites. Among the detachments of the partisans of Belarus there were several Jewish ones, which included people who managed to escape from the ghetto. On the actions of Jewish detachments in 2009 was filmed a documentary film "Outcasts" directed by Alexander Stupnikov.

And now almost 70 years have passed since the end of this terrible war. Descendants can be proud of a great victory, irreplaceable contribution to which made partisans WWII, speaking against the enemy in a single impulse.
