Paranoia is a mental disorder or delirium from the evil one?

Paranoia is a mental disorder . It is accompanied by some delirious ideas that develop in the mind of the patient. He does not trust his relatives, friends and relatives. The paranoiac reacts very sharply to this or that behavior of people, categorically does not accept in his address any criticism. Including, he never admits that he has a paranoia. This formation of delusional thoughts is closely related to the character and personality of the patient. The fact is that the paranoid is not raving because he incorrectly regards the world around him, but for the simple reason that he has a pronounced inner conflict with himself.

Paranoia is a state of mind in which a patient can not evaluate his ideas adequately. He has his own system of values, far from the real world. Basically, patients with paranoia fall into the psychiatric ward already with a progressive disorder. However, if you look closely, you can understand that some symptoms can still be traced.

Signs of Paranoia

As it was said above, The main sign of potential paranoia is his delusional ideas, which are always based on distrust of others, on suspicious attitude towards them. Paranoid misinterprets any situation, giving different meaningless little things to great importance. For such people it is peculiar to exaggerate everything and color it in negative colors. For example, a paranoid suffering from delirium of persecution will easily suspect that his enemy, a maniac or a terrorist, is looking askance at him! Or, for example, a spouse, suffering from a delirium of jealousy, "bring to the handle" his wife, making constant scandals about any of her delays at work. The saddest thing about all this is that no proofs and reasonable arguments refuting the patient's delusions are of no use to him. He just will not accept them!

Paranoia is not schizophrenia!

Many believe that both of these mental disorders are one and the same. This is not true. Patients with paranoia are filled with some unreasonable criticism of the whole surrounding world. At the same time, they do not accept criticism for their own sake for their own sake. As they say, "everything in the world is bad, and you are alone - wonderful!" They have no visual and auditory hallucinations, as in schizophrenics. Moreover, paranoids are not subject to any phantasmagoric ideas, which can not be said about schizophrenics. However, sometimes both diseases can complement each other, for example, with the diagnosis of "paranoid schizophrenia."

The whole logic of a person who is paranoid is based on his own conclusions. And in fact an adequate person to find a "gap" in this is almost impossible! It seems that everything in the patient is logical. But not the initial links of his "paranoid" chain, on the basis of which a false conclusion is built.
