Original hare mask with your own hands

Smart Christmas tree, tinsel, colorful lights, Santa Claus and Snow Maiden - this all reminds us of the most cheerful holiday, about the New Year. However, what a triumph without carnival costumes? Bunny-bunnies on New Year's matinees are a tradition that came to us from Soviet times. The hare mask is made quite simply, so you can do it together with the children.

The dimensions of this mask fully correspond to the circumference of the child's head, so the baby will not feel any discomfort. To make an accessory, you need the simplest things:

• Sheets of plain white paper;
• Sheets of colored paper (red, black);
• White cardboard;
• A stapler;
• glue;
• scissors;
• Black pencil or felt-tip pen;
• Simple pencil.

Instructions for making an accessory

First, make up the skeleton of the mask. Three cardboards with a width of 2.5-3 cm are cut from white cardboard. The length of the bands is different. One of them corresponds to the circumference of the baby's head, the other two are equal to the semicircle. The ends of the long strip are stapled together to form a circle. The short pieces are criss-crossed to form the bunny head skeleton. From white paper (if you can, you can take the sheets of gray color, then you will get a mask of a gray hare) cut out a muzzle in the form of the figure-eight and ears. The eyes, spout, mouth and tongue of the animal are made from colored paper of the appropriate color. Next, several sheets of white paper are crushed by the hands to make it softer. After these sheets pasted the frame to make it look like a hat. On each side of the vertex, the cuts are made, where the cut ears are inserted. On the inside of the mask they are fixed with glue. Afterwards, the face is glued to the face, eyes, mouth and tongue. Leave to dry. The mask of the hare with its own hands is almost done, there are only a few strokes left. When the glue dries well, black dots or antennae are drawn on the muzzle. Everything, a hare mask in the form of a cap is completely ready - it is possible to go on a New Year's celebration.

How to Make a Haremask from Cardboard

The next version of the New Year's accessory is ideal for kindergarten holidays. The kid in this outfit will be comfortable and interesting. So, the mask of the hare with its own hands is made of ordinary cardboard.

First, on a white cardboard draw a pattern of muzzle bunny and carefully cut with scissors. You also need to make holes for the eyes. Cut them carefully, so as not to spoil the whole pattern. This part of the work should be done by parents themselves, in order to avoid injury to the baby. Next, paint it with bright colors of proper color. For example, the basis (muzzle and ears) can be left white or repainted in gray, a nose, eye rims, cilia draw in black, and the tongue - in pink or red.

By the way, it's better to paint details with gouache, since this kind of paint lays down easily, does not spread and quickly dries up. When the paint dries well, on the sides of the mask make small holes, so that you can insert an elastic band or tie a tape. Thus, the mask will be held on the child's head. In principle, you can do without gum. In this case, a strip is cut from the paper, equal to the semicircle of the head, and a stapler is attached to the mask. Decorate the New Year's accessory can be sequins, paillettes, pieces of fluff or rhinestones.
