Omeprazole is an analog of Omega

Omega has the ability to lower the level of acidity in the stomach, eliminates heartburn and discomfort, and also actively combats harmful bacteria in the stomach and intestines. Omeprazole (analogous to Omez) refers to antiulcer drugs that depress the basal secretion of hydrochloric acid due to exposure to one of the enzymes H + / K + -ATPase. After taking the drug, the therapeutic effect develops during the first hour and lasts for 24 hours.

Indications for use of omeprazole

The use of omeprazole is indicated for peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, with ulcers caused by the intake of NSAIDs, with erosive-ulcerative esophagitis, pancreatitis. It is also used as an anti-relapse drug in patients prone to developing complications in the form of ulcers of duodenal and gastric localization. Omeprazole (an analogue of omez) is also used for the anti-relapse treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Contraindications to the use of omeprazole

Direct contraindications to the use of the drug are children under seven years of age, pregnancy, breast-feeding, as well as hypersensitivity to individual components of the drug.

Dosage and administration of omeprazole

Take omeprazole is necessary, carefully following all the prescriptions of the attending physician, as with various diseases it is prescribed according to different schemes. The drug is taken orally, regardless of meals. It is not chewed, swallowing whole. The dosage can be assigned the following:

- with an ulcer of the 12-типерстной gut - 1 capsule per day (20 mg) 14-30 days;

- with gastric ulcer - 1 capsule per day (20 mg) 30-45 days;

- with erosive-ulcerative esophagitis - 2 capsules (40 mg) for 30 days, in severe cases the course can be prolonged up to 3 months;

- with anti-relapse treatment of ulcers - 1 capsule per day (20 mg.);

- as an anti-relapse agent for gastroesophageal reflux disease - 1 capsule (20 mg) to six months or more;

- during the intake of nimesulides - 1 capsule (20 mg) overnight;

- in the case of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, the dose is selected individually, usually starting with 60-80 mg per day, divided into two doses;

- with the eradication of Helicobacter pylori - 40 mg per day in complex therapy;

Side effects with omeprazole

After taking Omegiprozole (analogous to Omez), sometimes side effects may occur that go off on their own. Most often they do not require medical help and disappear, leaving no problems. It's dizziness, headache, dyspepsia, rash, weakness. There is no reliable data on how Omega and alcohol interact with each other, but even the dilettante is clear that it is not worth using.

Precautionary measures

The presence of any serious symptoms, for example, frequent vomiting with blood clots, dysphagia, weight loss, and suspected stomach ulcers is a direct contraindication to the subsequent use of the drug. In this case, as well as with suspicion of malignant formation in the stomach and esophagus, it is necessary to cancel the drug and urgently perform a diagnostic (FGDS), since Omeprozol (an analogue of Omez) can dilute the symptoms of the disease and delay the correct diagnosis. Despite all the positive qualities that Omez possesses, how to take this drug or its analogues can be suggested only by the attending physician who knows the patient's medical history. Systematic monitoring of the patient's health during the reception of the drug is also necessary, since unreasonable intake of omeprazole can harm the health.

Today, in their practice, doctors prescribe potent drugs from the group of nimesulids under the cover of Omega, since in this case there is the possibility of the formation of a stomach ulcer. This move is often justified and allows you to take painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs without risk to your health.
