Drinkers for chickens own hands: a simple solution

Many farmers, as well as owners of dacha land, plant poultry in the farm, most often chickens. Care for them is not difficult, but they every day please with fresh testicles. The more layers, the more eggs. In addition, it is very interesting to observe the birds. All of them are busy with their business: one is picking something in the ground, the other is resting, the third is on the roost. In a word, bird life goes on as usual.

Naturally, to contain chickens, they need to create all the necessary conditions: to build a roost, provide a roof over their heads, make drinkers. For chickens you can do quite a lot with your own hands. We present to your attention three types of drinkers.

Hose for garden

The first type of drinking bowl for chickens own hands is made of a hose. This type can also be called a drop type. You need to take the garden hose and attach it to the tap. The other end of the hose is bent so that it will form in the form of a drop. Hang the garden hose with a narrow hole upwards to the height, convenient for drinking chicken or chicken. In the hose make a hole at the bottom of the part that is bent "under the drop". When turning on the tap, water should drip slowly. Such drinking bowls for chickens by their own hands are better to use as temporary constructions, since the water costs are too high.

Bucket

The second type can be made from a simple bucket. It is necessary to take a bucket with a hard cover, for example from under paint. Such a drinking bowl for chickens provides another capacity, for example, a tray from a flower pot, larger in diameter than a bucket (or a can) of 12 cm. Drill a small hole in the rim of the bucket and under the lid. Fill the container with water and close the lid, tightly fixing it. Turn the bucket over and put it in the pan. Water should drip from the bucket hole directly into the pan. It will rise to the level of the holes. As soon as it is drunk, the water is recruited again.

When it's cold outside

Drinkers for chickens, made with their own hands, exist both for the warm season and for the cold season. To ensure that the water does not freeze in the winter, experienced farmers are smart. Make a wooden base for a drinker, on which a lamp is installed, and an extension to the bulb is under the base. This base is heated by a lamp and "insulates" the water. Thus, the water does not completely freeze and may well leak out of the hole.

Bottles plastic

Another drinker for chickens is interesting. With our hands we will collect it from plastic bottles from under mineral water and the most usual plastic bowl. The bowl needs to be screwed with screws to that place in the shed or near the perch where it is supposed to make a drinking bowl. Take a two-liter bottle, cut off her neck and lower part. Put it in a bowl, and insert into it another, half-liter bottle with a neck down. The second bottle contains water. The circumcised bottle is screwed to the wall and will be stationary. And the second bottle can be removed from the first at any time to rinse and fill with fresh water. The neck of the second container should be at the optimum level of water in the drinking bowl. The poured liquid will always correspond to the level of the neck.
