Children's sandboxes for summer cottages: details of creation and practical advice

As soon as you have a child, the idea of your own sandbox sooner or later will arise in your head. If you have a summer residence, then here it will take its rightful place. Children's sandboxes for dachas are also additional entertainment for your child, and rest for all family members, when at least for a while you can take a child and leave to fiddle in the sand and sculpt kulichiki.

Sandboxes are sold in any children's shops. Their price may depend on the size, shape, material, additional elements. It can be both plastic sandboxes and wooden ones. However, with a little effort, you can build your sandbox.

Construction begins with the purchase of materials. From personal experience I will say that the usual average sandbox in the form of a square with a side of 135 cm will require:

- 6 three-meter boards with a width of at least 12 cm;

- 1 square bar length 2m;

- 6 bags of sand;

- primer for wood;

- Screws, screwdrivers, skillful hands.

The total cost of my sandbox was about 2000 rubles. And the order of its manufacture is quite simple. Cutting boards to the desired size. Attach the bar to the screws by assembling the frame. Priming it so that the tree is not exposed to external influences. Install the frame to the selected location in the suburban area. Make the sides by sawing the board at an angle of 45 degrees to get beautiful joints in the corners. The production of such a sandbox will take a maximum of two days, and for an experienced master this is a matter of several hours. Thus, you can very quickly please your crumb with a self-made creation. A similar algorithm makes any children's sandboxes for summer cottages. Remember that you always want to use only planed boards.

However, this is the simplest option. Children's sandboxes for cottages differ in shape, size, the presence of a lid, places for playing and sitting. You can upgrade your product by adding to it a table for modeling kulichikov. You can make a canopy or umbrella, create a sandbox frame from densely stumps stuck together. This will not only transform it, but will also add to it "multifunctionality". The child will be able to walk on stumps of different sizes, training dexterity.

Children's sandboxes with a lid are more functional. So you do not often need to change the sand or sift it, removing all sorts of rubbish and dirt. The lid can be made from a mass of improvised materials. Wooden flooring is not required at all. You can cover it with old linoleum, polyethylene or oilcloth. Only make sure that the material does not form depressions, where water often accumulates. The best solution will still be a hinged lid, which you can simply flip aside. Having done it once, you will save yourself from constant hassle.

If we talk about sand, then the river will be the best. It is more friable and eco-friendly. However, it is worth changing once a year. Carefully choose a place for your creation. Children's sandboxes for cottages should not be installed where the sun bakes the whole day. Let it be a place in the shade, under the crown of a tree, for example. Also, the sandbox should be located so that you can see the child from any corner of the villa.

Glad your crumb, let it have its own play corner on your site.
