Oil Pressure Transformers

An oil -based voltage transformer is a stationary device that includes two or more windings. The main task of these devices is the conversion of the current. In this case, the parameter of the limiting frequency in the circuit remains unchanged. This process occurs by electromagnetic induction.

It is also important to note that transformers are secondary sources of power. All this indicates that they provide power from the network. The difference between transformers is their power. However, models also have their own design features. In order to understand this question in more detail, it is necessary to consider the arrangement of a conventional transformer.

Transformer arrangement

If we consider a series of TM oil transformer, the device is quite simple. It contains three outputs, and they are located at the top panel. In this case, the input contacts are provided with a low-voltage type. At the bottom of the structure, there is a ground system for safe use of the transformer. Under the terminals is a complex mechanism of bypass valves.

The drain connection is located at the bottom of the transformer. For the convenience of transporting the device, there is a special panel on which you can find holes. A roller is mounted near the switch in the device. Near the input contacts there is a large relay. In order to monitor the operation of the transformer, a thermometer is built into its housing. Also there, the user is able to find the oil level indicator. In some configurations of TM transformers, a dehumidifier is provided.

Repair of transformers

In some cases, the winding of the device relay may be damaged. Repair of oil transformers in this situation must begin with inspection of low-voltage contacts. The directly protective cover can be removed using a screwdriver. In order to get to the relay, you need to detach the top plate. In this case, the switching mechanism should not be touched. In some modifications, you will also need to remove the filler neck. If there are dark spots on the winding, then the relay will have to be completely changed.

Single-phase modifications

Single-phase modifications to the maximum power are calculated on average 20 kVA. At that, the parameter of the operating frequency of the relay reaches 55 Hz. In this case, much depends on the types of contacts. If we consider copper modifications, then the conductivity of the current is rather good. Overload single-phase transformers can withstand an average of 5 A.

The dimensions of the model are quite different. Directly filling the mouths, as a rule, installed on the side panels. To change the position of the switch, there are special rollers. Grounding systems are installed in the lower part of the structure. Next to the transformer frame, there is a small branch for draining the oil.

Difference of two-phase models

Two-phase transformers differ in that their power reaches 50 kVA. In turn, the operating frequency parameter in some modifications reaches 60 Hz. This is largely achieved by installing large relays. Switches for many models are available with a roller mechanism. Grounding systems are provided in all modifications with insulators. The input voltage of a two-phase device can withstand an average of 15 kV. However, there are more powerful models. Dehumidifiers in this design are mainly provided

Three-phase transformers

Three-phase oil transformers are equipped with three input contacts. In this case, the operating frequency in the circuit is maintained at 70 Hz. If we talk about the power of the models, on average, the oil three-phase transformer of the TM series produces about 500 kVA. The input voltage of the relay at the same time keeps at a level of 30 kV. The dimensions of the three-phase model are quite large.

Considering all of the above, the transport panels are solid. To monitor the operation of the system, thermometers are provided, as well as oil indicators. Many configurations of three-phase transformers are equipped with dehumidifiers.

Characteristics of TM-25

The oil transformer TM-25 is manufactured with one relay. In this case, the power, as can be seen from the model name, is 25 kVA. The input voltage of the device is able to withstand a level of 25 kV. In turn, the overload parameter on average is 6 A. If we talk about design features, the filler neck of this model is located at the rear panel. The drain flap is provided with a diameter of 3.5 cm.

The thermometer in this transformer is used. A dehumidifier for this model is also available. For the level of oil the user is able to follow with a special pointer. The earthing system of the transformer is available with an isolator. The relay is mounted above the lower plate. There are two introductory contacts in the construction. Phase redistribution is carried out by means of a switch. It works thanks to the movement of the rollers.

Device transformer TM-40

The power of this transformer is 40 kVA. In this case, the maximum voltage output contacts can withstand at a level of 32 kV. The parameter of the limiting frequency of the relay is exactly 50 Hz. The current switch is in this case. For convenient transportation of the model, there is a plate above the frame, on which there are holes for the clutch.

Also this transformer has a special cooler. The filler neck is located at the control panel. The high-voltage contacts in this case are in the upper part of the structure. There is no dehumidifier in this transformer.

63 kVA transformers

The power (oil) transformers of this type of maximum voltage are able to withstand at 35 kV. In this case, the current load indicator is no more than 6 A. All this indicates that the operating frequency of the device does not exceed 55 Hz. The high-voltage terminals in this case are located near the top panel. Switches in devices are installed with a roller mechanism. Thermometers have models. Directly the relays are located above the lower plate near the frame. Dehumidifiers have these transformers. Earthing systems are provided with insulators.

Modifications per 100 kVA

Oil transformers per 100 kVA, as a rule, are installed with desiccants. In this case, the discharge pipes are of different diameters. At the same time in some modifications there are two relays. Directly high-voltage contacts, the limiting voltage can withstand at a level of 15 kV. The current overload indicator is 6 A.

If we talk about the relay, it is important to note that their operating frequency is on average 45 Hz. The plates above the frames are installed in very different thicknesses. Switches in many models are available in roller type. The lower frames of the grounding system are provided with insulators. The oil level indicators are located on the control panel.

Transformers with a capacity of 160 kVA

Oil transformers with a capacity of 160 kVA differ in that they have always two relays. In this case there are three input contacts in the system. Maximum voltage they are able to withstand at 30 kV. Deviation from the norm can not exceed 20 V.

Switches for phase change are installed on the control panels. Overloads of this type of device are maintained at an average of 6 A on average. The filling necks of transformers are of different diameters. If we talk about the modification of the TMG series, then the nozzle width is on average 3.5 cm. Coolers are available in all models of transformers.

Transformers for 250 kVA

Oil transformers, whose power equals 250 kVA, are produced with three relays. In this case, the platforms are rather wide. The parameter of the input voltage of the circuit is, on average, 30 kV. In turn, the system overload indicator reaches 4 A.

Switches in many configurations are available in roller type. Direct phase change in the models is very fast. The grounding systems are located near the bottom frame. The output voltage indicator reaches in devices up to 15 kV. The fuel fillers of the models are mainly located at the relay. Thermometers in this case are equipped with all the configurations.

Modifications of TMG

Transformers series TMG are produced only two-stroke type. In this case, the relay is set at an operating frequency of 50 Hz. Directly the current load indicator is at 6 A. The protection systems in the models are available with insulators. Pipes are installed in different diameters. If we talk about input contacts, then they are able to withstand a threshold voltage of about 30 kV. While the power index on average reaches 150 kVA.
