Octenisept solution has antiviral and antibacterial effects. The active components are phenoxyethanol and octenidine dihydrochloride. The drug is active against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, viruses. In particular, the effectiveness of the drug is noted in pathologies provoked by the herpes virus, hepatitis B. The medication affects dermatophytes and yeast-like fungi. On the basis of external use, there is very little systemic absorption.
