Multimedia exhibition "Live canvases. Aivazovsky and marine painters "

The combination of multimedia technologies and painting gave new interest to art, changed its perception. A vivid example of this is the unique exhibition "Aivazovsky and seascapes. Live canvases. " Its name was not accidental. This is a new look at the masterpieces of a talented artist who literally come to life in the eyes of curious spectators.

Aivazovsky

Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky (1817-1900) is known throughout the world as an outstanding seascapes painter. He was of Armenian origin, so his real name sounds like Hovhannes Ayvozyan. He lived a long and busy life, traveled a lot around Russia and beyond. Especially it was seized by sea voyages, impressions of which remained forever on the artist's canvases.

Aivazovsky created more than a hundred paintings depicting the greatness of the sea and the fragility of man in front of it. The artist's creations are an invaluable contribution to the development of seascapes painting. There are seven cases where the masterpieces of the famous seascape have been stolen from museums around the world. More than a century has passed since the death of Aivazovsky, but interest in his work does not cool even today.

The Art comes to life

Multimedia exhibition "Live canvases. Aivazovsky "collected the most famous works of the brilliant artist, which can be seen in Russian museums. Among them - "Black Sea", "The Ninth Wave", "Brig" Mercury "", "Rainbow", "Moonlight Night on the Bosphorus", etc.

All the paintings are not in the original, but in the projections on large screens located on the walls, floor and ceiling. 3D-animations give a volume of canvases, allow visitors to feel themselves inside the picture. Cloths literally come to life under the musical accompaniment: the rustle of sea waves, the splash and the frenzy of the water element. The furnishings are complemented by thematic scenery: boats, hammocks, nets. Thanks to all this, every visitor can feel the freshness of the sea, relax with the music of the surf, admire the power of the ocean, take part in ship battles, hear the roar of a crushing wave - the ninth shaft ...

Uniqueness of the exhibition

Exhibition "Living canvases. Aivazovsky "includes cognitive lectures and master classes on the history of the sea landscape. Also, within the framework of the installation, a creative workshop has been created, where every visitor can feel a seascape at will and create his own masterpiece under the direction of professional artists. The creative process is accompanied by playing a live violin and the ability to pause in the hammock during a break. Visitors are allowed to be photographed against the background of the liked cloths. For young guests, the organizers of the exhibition have specially equipped a children's area. It is also filled with thematic attributes and fun.

Apparently, the exhibition "Live canvases. Aivazovsky "is aimed not only at the cultural enlightenment of guests and the awakening of their interest in landscape painting. The use of modern multimedia technologies allows you to escape from everyday fuss, to transfer to the sea shores and enjoy the majestic scenery and riot of the elements.

Time and place

Exhibition "Living canvases. Aivazovsky has already traveled large cities of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk from January to September 2015. But according to the numerous requests of the visitors, the organizers decided to make a repeated multimedia installation.

From January to April 2016 the exhibition "Aivazovsky. Live canvases "takes place in St. Petersburg in the art space" Lumiere-Hall ". The organizers took into account the wishes and feedback on the first exhibitions, and now the guests are waiting for a more exciting journey into the world of painting, which can be heard and felt.
