Climate

The climate of the region is sharply continental, the temperature drops are rather sharp. Winter is frosty, windless, with a stable snow cover. The first snow falls here in September. Mount Zelenaya (Sheregesh) among tourists is quite popular. At its foot is a ski resort, which was supposed to receive participants in the Games. It was built in 1981.
