Motherwort tincture. Instructions for use

Motherwort is a perennial medicinal plant, often found in Russia, Central Asia and the Caucasus. Its useful qualities, it collects during flowering, then they collect the upper parts of the grass for their subsequent processing.

But the most popular for use is the medicine "Tincture of the motherwort." It is produced by the pharmacological industry in sufficient quantities and is sold in each pharmacy.

The tincture of the motherwort, the instructions for use of which describes its composition, includes seventy percent ethyl alcohol. In appearance it is a brown liquid with a green tinge. The taste a little bitter. It has a weak aroma. As a result of long-term storage, a precipitate is likely to appear.

For children over the age of twelve, it is recommended to prescribe the number of drops for one year of life. A motherwort tincture, an overdose of which can cause excessive sensitivity to its components, is not used in amounts exceeding those prescribed by the doctor or specified in the instructions.

Has this drug and its contraindications. It is not recommended for patients with low blood pressure and bradycardia.

Serious contraindications this tincture does not have, however, with prolonged admission, there may be an allergy, which is manifested by a rash and reddening of the skin. Due to the fact that one of the components of the tincture is ethyl alcohol, it is not recommended for women expecting the birth of a baby, and nursing mothers. Particular care must be taken to patients who during the course of treatment with this drug manage various types of vehicles, as well as machines and mechanisms.

It is possible to manufacture this medicine even at home. To do this, mix one part of the plant raw materials with five parts of seventy percent ethanol. It is stored in places that are protected from sunlight, at temperatures between fifteen and eighteen degrees. It should not be accessible to children. With all the rules, the remedy will retain its medicinal properties for four years.
