After the war

The victory over the Hitlerite army was accomplished. The country had to be raised from the ruins, which is impossible in a backward industry. We needed new staff - qualified engineers. It was also necessary to strengthen the armament, so that no one else had the idea to set foot on the Soviet land with his enemy's boot. New faculties were opened at the Moscow State Technical University. In addition, work began on the study of outer space. In 1948 in the higher technical school the faculty of rocket technics was created, whose history is closely connected with the name of such an outstanding scientist as Sergey Pavlovich Korolev.

But the changes affected not only the structure of the university, but also the student body. All-Union proletarianization dictated the conditions that, first of all, the best universities of the country had to follow. In the life of MVTU teachers, difficult times began. After all, they got used to quite different students and could not work with practically illiterate students. Representatives of the proletariat at the workers' faculty were the absolute majority. With the students of this faculty, created in the twenties, the teachers have developed complex relationships, as evidenced by numerous essays on the history of Baumanka. Nevertheless, the university experienced this difficult period. Building

MSTU named after Bauman is a truly legendary high school. According to the generally accepted opinion, he is the best technical university in the country. It is not easy to study here. For example, the faculty of IU in Bauman Moscow State Technical University prepares high-quality specialists, but, according to the reminiscences of its former students, the load on the first and second year is extremely high. It is much easier to learn the program of the first two years of graduates of the Lyceum, which was discussed above. But, according to the opinion of the same students, it is already possible to combine studies on a third year with work.

However, everything is known in comparison. There is also an opinion that the famous Moscow University is somewhat overrated. Yes, it has a long history and hundreds of outstanding graduates, but since the end of the eighties of the last century the list of talented students has become significantly scarcer. However, today's applicants are not very aware of this, and therefore do not doubt its primacy among other technical universities in Russia. While, for example, MIPT is not inferior to Baumanke.

Myths about MSTU

There is a misconception that only male representatives study at this university. And all of them are deeply immersed in the educational process and have long lost touch with normal student life. In reality, there are absolutely ordinary people here, many of them girls.
