At the moment, only two types of glass is made - protected on both sides by a film and made with a special coating. The length of the canvas in the roll is usually 7-10 meters. Glass insulation, the laying of which involves the use of special tools - the material is flexible, but at temperatures not below -10 ° C. Preparatory work

Of course, the surface must first be prepared. It must be leveled and cleaned of dirt, dust and greasy stains. Then the screed is treated with a special tool - primer solution, which reliably binds all the remaining dust. There are two approaches to processing. After that, the surface will be considered prepared.

Next, you need to perform the fitting. Roll unwrap and cut the strip of the required length. In this case, you can use a roofing knife. The rest of the material is rolled up again. Warming the bottom adhesive surface with a torch, the strip is rolled over the surface and pressed as tightly as possible to it. Glass insulation, the laying of which should be done as accurately as possible, in this case densely adheres to the base. The next strip is overlapped (8-10 cm). The manufacturer already at the manufacturing stage leaves a border strip without sprinkling specially for this purpose. From the ends it will have to be removed manually. The material is simply heated with a burner and scraped with a strip of 10-15 cm. This is the width of the overlap, which should be kept from the ends.

Some nuances

Stacking glass with your own hands - it's quite feasible. However, all the necessary technologies must be observed. The burner is equipped with nozzles of different diameters. This will allow you to select the most suitable temperature for heating the material, which depends on its thickness. After the main installation, it is mandatory to pass all the seams of the burner again for reliability. Smooth them with a trowel.
