Mobile phones with dual camera

Now phones with a dual camera - it's not uncommon. They can often be found on sale, but many people still do not understand why some manufacturers began to equip gadgets with such a function. Well, there is an explanation for this.

Creating 3D

This is the first thing for which phones with a dual camera were created. Everyone remembers perfectly 2011, when the general fashion began on home 3D. People began to actively buy TVs that supported stereo images. That's why smartphone makers decided to keep up with fashion trends. In the same year 2011, the light saw such phones as LG Optimus 3D and HTC EVO 3D. By the way, you can see them on the photo provided above.

The screens in them involved a special parallax barrier. Due to this technology, the left eye of the person saw one part of the pixels, and the right one - the other. Viewing 3D materials became real. Also, however, worked and two cameras. The first lens saw one part of the pixels, and the second one - the other.

However, these dual-camera phones did not become popular. They aroused interest, but buyers did not like that the displays had a small resolution, because of which the quality of the material was reduced. Yes, and in the use of smartphones were uncomfortable. To shoot a 3D photo, you had to hold the phone motionless at one point - the slightest movement spoiled the frame.

Panoramic effect

People, when making photos, always want the entire object to be captured, which you want to capture. But it is not possible in every case. This fact is well known to manufacturers of telephones. Therefore, there were phones with a dual camera, designed to expand the field of view of the lens.

Many will say: "But after all, smartphones now have a" fish eye "function and panoramas!" Yes, it is available. That's only on these smartphones is universal optics, the viewing angle of which is limited. To get as much detail as possible into the lens, you have to use very curved lenses, or to make photo-sensors of a wide, non-standard format. The pictures are greatly reduced in height, and quality also suffers.

But with a smartphone with a dual module you can make great photos. To do this, just click once on the button, fixing the desired object. Get a great shot without gluing and graphic defects. A vivid example of such a phone is LG G5, costing 22-25 thousand rubles. One camera in the module has a viewing angle of 90 degrees. Another, highly specialized, differs more widely - 100-120.

Improve photo quality

This is another reason why you need a dual camera on phones. On smartphones with one lens there is no optical zoom. If you want to bring the object closer, the system will simply take the necessary piece of the image, and then "stretch" it. Of course, there can be no question of any details. But the dual module solves this problem. After all, it includes one conventional camera, and the other - telescopic. The presence of such a module boasts the recently released iPhone 7 Plus. In it, both matrices are the same, but one is equipped with high-speed optics with the usual parameters, and the other has a long-range view with a limited viewing angle.

Increase the contrast, clarity and detailing - that's why you need a dual camera on your phone. Very useful function. When the module has both color and monochrome cameras, this affects the quality of the survey. One optics captures colors and shades, and the other registers the smallest details. The result is a bright, detailed picture. This module is installed on Huawei P9, the price of which is about 30 000 rubles.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro

Special attention should be paid to this phone model. "Mi 4 Pro" with a dual camera is now very popular. But the company Xiaomi was the last of those who decided to develop this concept.

The main camera of this model is 13-megapixel. The second - 5 MP. It is she who captures the depth of the data. Due to its presence, Xiaomi Redmi Pro makes amazing pictures with the effect of bokeh (the subject of the picture in focus, and the background is blurred). Interestingly, the settings can be adjusted by the owner of the phone. The diaphragm is easily adjusted manually, whereby it is possible to achieve the required level of blur.

By the way, this phone has already been tested by many connoisseurs of technology, and most of them did not forget to compare Xiaomi Redmi Pro with the seventh iPhone. But in fact, the photos taken from the cameras of both models are no different. That's just Xiaomi stands as one-third of the phone from Apple.

Cheap models

As you can see, smartphones with such impressive optical characteristics are quite expensive. But, since models with such functionality soon became popular, budget smartphone manufacturers quickly established their production. Chinese phones with a dual camera - a good alternative to all the previously mentioned models.

Take, for example, Doogee Shoot 1. Its price varies from 5 to 6.5 thousand rubles. Its optical module consists of a 13-megapixel main camera manufactured by Samsung, and the second is an additional 8 MP. The photos are bright, clear and detailed, and the notorious bokeh effect can also be achieved easily.

Slightly more expensive (6.5-7 thousand) is Elephone Max, which is the first experimental smartphone firm. The manufacturer interested the buyers with a dual camera, capable of taking pictures at the level with DSLR mirror devices.

The third budget option is LeEco Cool1, the price of which varies from 9 to 14 thousand (depending on the equipment). The module of this smartphone includes two 13-megapixel cameras, aperture f / 2.0, as well as dual LED flash and phase autofocus. The most important thing is that the video is removed in 4K Ultra HD format. The front camera in this model, by the way, is 8-megapixel, and records the videos in 1080p format.

The elite Chinese model

A much more expensive Chinese option is the Gionee M2017. It costs about 65-75 thousand rubles in ordinary form. In China, versions are still sold in crocodile skin, and they cost a hundred thousand more.

The price is due to the presence of an 8-core processor, incredible thinness of the case, 64 built-in gigabytes of memory, 2560x1440 display expansion and, of course, an optical module. It consists of 12 and 13 Mp cameras, respectively, which support a 4x optical zoom. Also there is a powerful LED flash.

Smartphones for lovers of selfies

Gadgets with a dual front camera also exist! These are Vivo X9 and X9 Plus, released in December 2016. These smartphones have a 16 megapixel camera installed at the back. But in front - a dual front module. One camera is 20 megapixels, and the other is 8 megapixels. And the aperture is f / 2.0. It's a really great dual camera in the phone.

Why was it decided to install it in the frontal part? Because such a solution for the gadget industry is a novelty, and besides, lovers of Selfie want quality photos. And with such characteristics, even the bokeh effect can be made in one motion. During shooting, the main camera focuses on the person's face, and the other creates a background blur.

The price of these models varies from 22 to 28, and from 30 to 35 thousand rubles, respectively.

Bluboo Dual

This is the last model worth noting with attention. Its price starts at 5,700 rubles. The dual module consists of a main 13 megapixel Sony IMX135 camera and an auxiliary sensor at 2 megapixels. Despite the fact that the characteristics are less impressive than all the previously mentioned models, it is possible to achieve a beautiful background blur and precise focusing with such a phone.

In general, as you can see, there is a considerable number of smartphones with modular cameras. If you want, you can find a good gadget at a reasonable price, buy it and enjoy high-quality pictures.
