Mikhail Koklyaev: biography and achievements of the athlete (photo)

Mikhail Viktorovich Koklyaev is a famous Russian sportsman, one of the most recognized weightlifters and bodybuilders not only in Russia, but also in the rest of the world. Seven times he took the championship at the Russian championships, was a member of the national team in weightlifting. Koklyaev Mikhail, whose biography is capable of motivating any beginning athlete, is an example of real will, a desire for victory and constant self-control.

Early start

Mikhail Koklyaev was born in 1978, in the city of Chelyabinsk. By nationality - half Tatar, half Russian. He began to work in heavy athletics at the age of 13: in 1992, Michael first came into the hall, having a height of 170 cm and weighing 57 kg. So began his rise to the top of domestic and foreign power sports, where he became known as one of the most developed athletes of the USSR. A year later Koklyaev already received the second adult category in the category of 75+ kg. And in 1994, the CMS became the weight of more than 90 kg. A year later, Mikhail Koklyaev became the MC in the weight category of 107 kg. Thus, he already at the age of 18 fulfilled the standard for the title of master of sports in weightlifting - the result is not just amazing, but also stunning, given the fact that most weightlifters come to this sport only after 16-17 years.

Serious injury

Chelyabinsk athlete was enlisted in the so-called experimental junior team of Russia in weightlifting. Having worked out for a while, Mikhail during one of the competitions very seriously injured the ligaments of the knee joints, which is why he had to be rehabilitated for a whole year. As he himself says, sometimes this pain manifests itself now, but the man is already used to it - for him it is a kind of signal that it's time to slow down the loads during training.

Change of coach

In the same 1995, Mikhail Koklyaev changed mentor - from the coach Igor Slyunin, he passed under the patronage of Alexander Musayev. Apparently, this had an impact on the rapid rehabilitation of the athlete - in 1996 he again performed, putting Russia's record among the older boys, lifting 155 kg in a dash. In 1997, the weightlifter won the Russian Junior Championships in the category "weight over 108 kg," although he himself weighed a little more.

Service in the Missile Forces

The world championship that passed in the same year showed Mikhail Viktorovich in a favorable light - he took the fifth position with the result of 160-180. Apparently, this was the reason that the young man soon joined the Strategic Missile Force (Strategic Missile Force) in Odintsovo, being recorded in the 127th Battalion. During the service, Michael met his third coach - Alexander Skonnikov, who further helped develop the professional athletic qualities of Michael. In addition, Skonnikov helped Koklyaev to determine the way in sports life, introduced some important people in big sports and in detail told about all his features. Even more firmly entrenched in the decision to continue his sporting career, Mikhail Koklyaev got the second place in the Russian junior championship in 1998, and in the world championship he takes the fourth place with the result of 177.5 + 207.5.

Best result

In 1999, the Chelyabinsk sportsman showed his best result - 195 kg for a spurt and 232.5 kg for a push, which totaled 422.5 kg. As Mikhail Viktorovich himself admits, he would hardly have achieved this result had it not been for the help of David Adamovich Riegert, who managed to reassure Mikhail and strengthen his faith in himself, because the threshold of junior age has already come to an end.

Accident

The first year of the millennium became somewhat tragic for Mikhail Koklyaev - he falls into a motorcycle accident, however, without any complications. In addition, he constantly works on control, devoting almost all his time to this. Mikhail Koklyaev, whose trauma stirred up the entire national sports world, managed to stay afloat.

In 2001, Mikhail described as "calm, unremarkable". Well, 200 + 232.5 kg, which in total gives 432.5 kg, is a good result, especially for the third place in the Russian championship. As Mikhail himself says, this year he spent training at home.

Record of Russia

Mikhail Koklyaev, whose height and weight did not change much, won the Russian Cup in 2002 and became the winner of the Russian championship in August of the same year. He travels to Turkey to take part in the European Championships, but because of an injury to the inguinal rings, he does not receive any space. The weight of the athlete is already 148 kg. In 2003, the man still wins the Russian Championship, setting the 210th record. Unfortunately, he is not taken to the World Cup, although at the tournament dedicated to the memory of G. Nowak, Koklyaev raises 205 and 240 kg for a jerk and a push, respectively. This is a pretty good result, which would be more than enough to take the third place in the competition.

Mikhail Koklyaev, whose weight in 2003 was 138 kg, managed to quickly rehabilitate himself and gain weight again. In 2004, the athlete took first place in the Cup of the country in Novgorod. Participates in the European Championships, which was held in Kiev, where he managed to raise 190 and 230 kg, making it the fifth place. After a couple of months, Michael takes part in the qualifying tournament for a trip to the Olympic Games. Still after a couple of months in Podolsk takes first place.

Extreme power

2005 again brought first place in the Cup of the country: Mikhail pulled the result in 450 kg of the total mass. In general, the summer of 2005 was particularly intense: in the period between the beginning of June and the end of July, the athlete managed to participate in many tournaments, including the "Highlander Games" in Scotland. Also participated in two team championships held in Poland and Ukraine. In the same year, the weightlifter changed his sporting image a bit, becoming a well-known sportsman named Mikhail Koklyaev, whose extreme extreme power differed somewhat from the standard one. In other words, he worked according to his own methods.

In 2006, Michael set a record for America, pushed 240 kg - this tournament was called "Arnold Classic". At the same time, he participates in training camps in Scotland, where he sets a new, however, unofficial record in the same 240 kg in a jerk.

Strength training

By the way, strongom Michael began to engage in 2004, after an unsuccessful qualifying round in Athens. Elbrus Nigmatullin aimed at this idea . As Mikhail himself said, he wanted to deal with the strontium before, but he was primarily hampered by the fear that he could be seriously injured, which would entail too long a period of rehabilitation.

Weightlifting today

Mikhail Viktorovich Koklyaev argues that the current situation of weightlifting in Russia is more or less tolerable: due to the increasing doping control and updates in the system of improving this sport, many beginning weightlifters are no longer faced with the difficulties that Mikhail dealt with at the beginning His career. Strongmen, or extreme power, is a sport that is accessible to everyone, because the exercises of this school do not represent a particular complexity in the sense of technology. And since the average age of participants in this direction is about 30 years, it is not surprising that this kind of athletics is becoming more popular. As our hero says, it is easy to become an experienced strongman, but to perfect this simple technique you can all conscious life.

Koklyaev Mikhail, whose biography, in principle, is a complete list of all the sports achievements, can not but contain some moments of his daily life and those things without which the athlete can not imagine his existence. Michael deserved the recognition of many famous world weightlifting athletes, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, who spoke of our compatriot as a great athlete. When Mikhail participated in the Arnold-Strongman 2011 tournament, Schwarzenegger sent an enthusiastic message via Twitter to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that Michael was able to raise two times the weight of 111 kg. To which Dmitry Medvedev laconically replied: "Yes, Russian men in general are so strong."

Life outside sports

After a short rest athlete again returns to weightlifting. Mikhail Koklyaev's wife, Oksana, is very positive about this component of her husband's life, supporting him in every way in this way. The weightlifter has two children - daughter Diana and son Michael. Yes, his life is not only training: he devotes a lot of time to his family, brings up children, occasionally travels around the country and abroad, attends various conferences and sports seminars.
