The compact layout, simplicity, reliability, combined with traditionally high quality and comfort made the Mercedes-190 the most popular car of that time.

Production start

The Mercedes-190 quickly became popular. As a result, manufacturers began to think how to improve it to make demand even greater. So it was decided to create a sports sedan, which became popular among young people. "Mercedes-190" became even a competitor of the legendary Mercedes w123, which, by the way, is an order of magnitude higher than this model.

But even now, given the age of these motors (more than thirty years!), They do not consume more than nine liters of diesel per 100 kilometers in the city cycle.
