Lust is a scourge?

The world is multifaceted, its imperfection is obvious. Because of its weaknesses, the human race is also not ideal. This is described in various religions, in philosophical teachings, and in the most banal women's magazines. So, let's look at the very notion of what lust is.

This is one of the passions of mankind. It means an irresistible, often sexual, desire for something and anyone. Let's look at the explanatory dictionary. Initially, this word meant a great desire, which was despised as weakness. Now sensuality and passion have ceased to be vices and are associated with something natural - the media chew on the sexual part of life from different angles. Good or bad is a contentious issue. Let's look at the facts.

You can want a man or sneakers - the object of lust can be anything. But can it become an addiction? Unfortunately yes. Because lust is passion. And what famous passions are addictions? Alcoholism, drug addiction, smoking, love of money and their ilk. Consequently, such a state adversely affects a person's consciousness, destroying his psyche by a constant struggle between "one must quit" and "one more - and that's all."

On the other hand, sexual desire is a stable factor that strengthens the family. The relationship of those couples where the memory of last night causes a shiver in the knees and sweet longing, is definitely stronger than those where sex became a mandatory Friday ritual so that "do not rust." This is the basis of marriage, its foundation. Naturally, this is not the only component, but here we consider only one aspect.

But again, sexual lust is a modern scourge, if you remember about children from 13 to 18 years old. It is quite difficult not to agree with the fact that young and immature talent now knows about sex and strives for it more than young people 30, 40, 50 years ago. Which, of course, is very bad.

In the Christian world, lust is one of the seven gravest sins. Along with greed and envy, gluttony and laziness, anger and pride. Of course, there is intelligence here. Described vices do not color a person. Who wants to be weak and weak-willed? But at the same time, you can not trample on nature: the instinct of reproduction is embedded in us from the sources of time. It's another matter to direct your emotions and desires to a peaceful channel. Marriage creates a certain protection of lust and regards it as something inherent.

Fighting your passions is a noble and useful thing. A person who does not recompense himself in pernicious vices is close to the animal. But it is up to you to decide whether to provoke your weaknesses or not.

Of course, lust as a human trait of character is low. A reasonable person will never limit himself to passions. He will strive for self-improvement as the only true path. And imitation of animals leads to human degradation, returns it to the Stone Age, where the problem of survival was acute. Let the modern world and full of contraceptives, let us one of the insignificant number of species, mating for pleasure. But we are people, small and pathetic in the face of the universe. The struggle with oneself lasts all our life and leads to enlightenment.
