Andrey Leontiev (photo below) is a Russian TV producer, journalist, presenter, traveler and racer. The author of programs on the channel "Auto Plus". He has been driving for 28 years. And in automotive journalism is working 23 years. The article will present his brief biography.

Study and work

Leontyev Andrew was born in Moscow in 1969. Father - Igor Alekseevich - aviation engineer, and mother - Carmen Vieska - teacher of the Spanish language. From an early age, the boy was interested in aviation and automotive engineering. In high school Andrei went to a young motorist's circle and went in for karting.

In 1985, the young man graduated from the school and submitted his documents to MGIMO at the Faculty of Journalism. Leontyev started working during his studies, both in central ("abroad", "Izvestia"), and in regional newspapers. Andrew graduated from the institute in 1991, just during the dramatic events in the history of Russia. Leontiev did not want to cooperate with the media, which have a radical position on both sides. Therefore, the young man decided to change his profession, engaging in entrepreneurial activities in the field of advertising and real estate.

TV

Leontyev returned to journalism in 1992, when the first specialized program "Auto Show" appeared on domestic TV. The young man happily joined the newborn team, which was assembled by a famous TV host and producer Nikolai Petrov. Here Andrey met Alexei Khresin, Sergey Aslanyan, Alexander Pikulenko and Elena Sadova. With the last hero of this article works to this day.

New projects

In 1996 Leontyev Andrey became the editor-in-chief of the "Auto Show" program. In parallel, he was engaged in another project, which organized the "Aqua Vita" - the production company of Nikolai Petrov. These were "Races for survival", and Leontiev became not only the lead program, but also its direct participant. At the same time, Andrei worked for Radio 7 (he was on the morning air and was in charge of the information service), he made an automobile transfer to RTR and worked in the announcer department of "Business Russia". In the latter, Leontief was lucky enough to work with such stars as Elena Starostina, Elena Nefedova, Peter Kuleshov and Igor Kochergin. Well, the head of the department was the legendary Igor Kirillov.

In 1997, together with Mikhail Gurevich, the hero of this article led a car heading in the program "Good Morning, Russia". In 1996-1999 he worked in several social non-automotive projects together with the composer, poet and TV journalist Maria Chugraeva. In 1998 Leontyev Andrey, at the invitation of the "New Company", headed the program "In the world of motors", broadcast on the first channel. And she was led by Tatyana Maslennikova. Subsequently, he became the main director of the "New Company" on such projects as "Good Morning" and "Morning on Channel 1".

Own channel

In 2002, Leontiev reflected on the creation of his project. The journalist began to develop the concept of satellite and cable around the clock channel, specializing in motor subjects. Soon Andrey began to search for an investor. It was possible to find it only with the fourth attempt. The need for the Leontief project originated with the holding company Red Media. The new channel "Auto Plus" appeared on the air on September 5, 2006. Andrew completely devoted himself to this project.

LAV Productions

In 2010, Leontyev had serious disagreements with the management of Red Media about the organization of production and ways to develop the channel. Therefore, the journalist had to leave the project he had created. Together with Andrew left almost the whole team. Soon the hero of this article on a couple with a school friend Alexander Vorobyov opened his own company LAV Productions. The company immediately began production of programs for other satellite and federal channels. On RBC TV came the program Autonews, on TVC - "Automobile mood", and on "Star" - "Weekend on wheels."

After some time, Andrei Leontiev, whose biography is presented above, received a proposal from Red Media to resume cooperation. The journalist gladly accepted it. At the moment, LAV Productions makes eighteen television programs of different themes. Programs are created for cable and satellite channels while maintaining cooperation with regular partners: Auto Plus, TVC and RBC.
