Large napkin crochet: pattern, principles of knitting, application

Crochet crochet knitting is an old good tradition, which many craftsmen still support. The popularity and prevalence of such decor greatly simplifies the search for the desired pattern and description to it. However, there is also the reverse side of the situation: napkins crocheted, so "bored" knitters that have become a kind of synonym for banality. The situation is saved by the development of fresh circuits and the search for new areas of application of familiar objects.

Kinds of napkins

Despite the fact that the first association with the word "napkin" invariably becomes an openwork circle, there are square, five-and hexagonal, rectangular, diamond-shaped and many other forms of napkins.

In modern design, a large napkin crochet (the pattern can be relatively solid or delicate) is often round, but squares are often found. I must say that decorative elements with straight angles are easier to place on flat surfaces.

The basic principle of knitting wipes

Work on knitting almost any napkin starts from the center and, gradually expanding the canvas, ends with the widest series. The only exceptions are products assembled from several separately related motifs.

Like a small, and a large napkin crochet (the scheme can be of any shape) provides for several basic components:

  • Relatively dense center.
  • Openwork basic linen.
  • Strapping.

Depending on the specific nature of the pattern, the main fabric of the product may include some elements. For example, it is not uncommon to use a pattern overlapping technique. They are located at a different distance from the center, interspersed with very openwork or, conversely, solid areas. Such distribution of the ornament allows to effectively expand the canvas with observance of the overall harmony of the product.

SSN - a column with a crochet, RLS - a column without a crochet, VP - an air loop.

Description from * to * must be repeated to the end of the series.

How to change the size of napkins

Described in the previous paragraph, the reception of alternation of stripes of patterns is extremely useful for skilled workers who wish to change the size of the napkin. Individual elements can be repeated the required number of times or completely eliminated. An excellent example of how to crochet a napkin from several ornaments is the product shown in the following photo.

There is a very wide band connected by a grid. Obviously, with its help, the canvas has been expanded to the planned sizes.

Circular patterns of napkins crochet also allow you to combine different schemes. The success of mastery can be considered a successful combination of several elements and the creation of your own unique napkin.

Large napkin crochet: scheme and application

Such a large decorative element, like the one pictured below, has an extremely wide range of uses.

In fact, it's not even a napkin, but a real tablecloth. The size of such products essentially depends on the materials that the craftsman chooses. The thicker the thread, the larger the napkin, but the pattern looks rougher. Being tied from tight yarns with tight torsion, such a large crochet napkin (the scheme is suggested later) becomes an interesting carpet, umbrella, blanket or veil.

If desired, only a part of the scheme can be executed. Going to the final strapping immediately after the central part, you can get a napkin of smaller diameter. A small motif without strapping becomes convenient for use in lace dresses, pullovers, tops and bags. Napkins crocheted quite often placed on a coquette of a knitted dress or on its side.

For convenience, the napkin pattern is divided into two parts.

The central fragment.

Description: crochet crochet crochet

Begin work with a set of chains of eight air loops. In the second row, 16 stitches without a crochet are performed, and then continue to knit in accordance with the scheme.

The central part of the pattern contains very popular elements of pineapple. They are here in several rows and adorn the napkin very much. "Pineapples" are well suited for expanding canvases, so they are so often used in napkin schemes. The first part of the scheme ends with several rows of grid, on which a simple pattern of "bush" will be placed next. This geometric ornament is formed by the systematic filling of some grid cells with "bushes" of four columns with a crochet. If necessary, remove some element of the scheme, excluding this band will be most convenient.

The final part of a large swab

The main decor of this large napkin becomes a wide rim, passing along its edge. The peculiarity of the scheme is that several patterns are combined here:

  • Simple triangles of "bush" against the background of chains of air loops.
  • Double zig-zag from the columns with the crochet.
  • Small "pineapples".
  • Empty sirloin grid with cells of different sizes.

All these ornaments are arranged simply masterfully. The beginning of one pattern is performed simultaneously with the knitting of the previous one. Thus, the developers managed to organically fit such seemingly different ornaments.

The patterns of circular patterns and the principles of making decorative paintings described in this article will be useful to those who are looking for information on how to crochet a napkin. Of course, to follow the detailed scheme is calmer, but only improvisation can give a feeling of real free creativity.
