Lake Pustoye: The Secret of the Siberian Pond

On our planet there is a large number of unique natural monuments, each of which has some peculiarities. It can be places in which there are various electromagnetic anomalies or people often die. Perhaps, in each country there are such mystical places. One of them is in Russia, and they call it the Empty Lake. Let's try to figure out what mysteries this natural landmark holds in itself.

One of the most mysterious lakes

In the Altai Territory there are approximately 20,000 freshwater reservoirs. It is for this reason that Altai is often referred to as the Land of Blue Lakes. However, there is one among this number of reservoirs, in which there is no fish - this is the Empty Lake. At first glance, there is nothing strange and unusual about it, because there are a lot of lakes with the absence of living creatures today. But in most cases this has some explanation. And in this situation, experts can not find any factors that determine such a feature of the lake.

Where is the miracle lake?

There is an empty lake in the Kemerovo region, where the number of freshwater reservoirs is quite large - about 850. The lake, which we will discuss further, is located on the territory of the Siberian reserve "Kuznetsk Alatau". The reservoir is a part of the lakes that surround Big Berchikul (its area is approximately 2 km²).

The lake Empty never could brag of any valuable resources, for this reason about it there are no mentions left since ancient times. The reservoir simply existed, and only local residents knew about its features. In 1989, a reserve was organized in this region, so the lake was included in the "Kuznetsk Alatau". It is located in the north-eastern part of the reserve.

Pond Features

An empty lake is considered a basin of continental origin. The water in it is fresh, and its chemical composition complies with all norms and does not show any deviations. A large number of scientists have repeatedly examined this pond, conducted analyzes of its water. Nevertheless, the work of specialists did not yield any results: no toxic substances were found in the water, which could affect the death of fish. On the contrary, the water in the Pusty Lake is absolutely usable. Those who tried it say that it reminds of champagne, because it contains small bubbles of natural gas, safe for human health. Thus, researchers have not been able to understand why the fish are not found in these places.

The specialists also studied the issue of local ecology in order to find out whether any incidents or natural disasters, as well as technical pollution, were recorded in this locality. But they did not know what exactly scared the fish and why she did not like the waters of the Empty Lake in Siberia.

Mystical halo around the lake

This pond is in contact with other lakes, clean and fresh, in which fish are found. It would seem that the inhabitants of the waters could expand their territory and choose the Empty Lake as their residence. But this did not happen. This fact gives this reservoir some mystical fleur. Repeatedly in the lake the most enduring and unpretentious fish were launched: carp, pike, perch. Thus, specialists and local residents wanted to populate the pond with artificial livestock by artificial means. However, these attempts were unsuccessful: the fish simply did not multiply and perish. The same thing happened with the aquatic vegetation - it soon rotted. To date, there is not a blade of grass or a small fish, and even the birds for some reason do not like the shore of this strange "empty" lake in Western Siberia.

Empty will remain empty?

The secret of this reservoir, as before, excites human minds, but at the moment no one has been able to at least one step closer to the solution. The lake still keeps a lot of secrets in its waters. In this regard, experts compare this reservoir with another famous and strange Trinidadsky lake (it is also often called Asphalt or Lake of Death). To date, the Empty Lake is one of the most mysterious natural beauties of the Kemerovo region. It still remains empty. But is life possible in the waters of this lake?

Experts again and again try to study the waters of this mystical body of water. Its water has already been investigated by American, German, Belgian and British specialists, but no one has yet succeeded in finding the cause or at least suggest a theory explaining such a phenomenon. Will experts be able to solve this puzzle in the future? Unfortunately, scientists only shrug their shoulders.

If you happen to visit the Kemerovo region and see the Empty Lake, you will hardly notice anything unusual: the reservoir looks exactly like many other lakes. And only the waters of this mystical and unusual object know the clue of their uniqueness.
