If the bonnet is to be used as an independent headdress, then you should type additional loops on the spoke on both sides, lying on the same straight line with the spoke, on which there are still working loops. You can make an envelope with sleeves sewn to it. In general, knitting for newborns involves as little as possible using seams and buckles, because the body of a baby is so tender and sensitive! Therefore, some craftsmen resort to knitting children's clothing from the neck - this allows you to perform knitting for newborns without stitching individual parts.
