Fantastic Russian paintings - a phenomenon quite rare. Released tapes can be counted on the fingers. Cinematography responsibly approaches the implementation of such projects, because they require a good script and appropriate financial support. "The Dark World" has become not just a film balancing on the brink of fantasy. First of all, it was created about youth and for youth. The success of the picture confirms the release of the tape "Dark World: Balance", which is a kind of continuation-predecessor.

The Dark Idea

Script writer Alexei Sidorov, who created the "Brigade" and "Fight with the Shadow," paired with his colleague Alexander Dorbinyan decided to encroach on science fiction - the genre is mostly new and not studied to the end. At the same time the plot was quite simple to understand. A company of students, among whom there are "good" and "bad", leaves for the expedition. Deaf rural spaces do not promise anything interesting. However, in one of these villages there is an old burial ground with a magic shield. Marina, fond of mysticism, resurrects dark forces for her misfortune, and she herself acquires super abilities. From now on the whole group will meet with representatives of an unknown other world.

The concept of the plot is connected with maintaining a world balance between good and dark sides. And this happens "thanks" to young students who do not foresee such a finale.

The company "Center Partnership" agreed to the production of the film. In 2009, major preparatory work began: the construction of scenery, the search for natural places and, of course, casting. Particularly important niche took roles and actors. "Dark World" was supposed to have a well-written script structure and, therefore, could not lose because of poorly recreated characters.

Tape production

The shooting took several months. The most part was shot in Karelia, against the backdrop of incredible natural beauty, which is also important in the story. Pavlovsky Posad also became a place of full-scale production, and the rest was drowned in Moscow pavilions. Numerous difficult scenes from the technical side required professionalism. So, the master of the tricks was the first-class master Dmitry Tarasenkov. The costumers also worked: according to the plot, the outfits and the very appearance of the peoples of one of the tribes who really live in Karelia were required. When the filming was in full swing, it became clear to everyone (and primarily to the director Anton Megerdichev) how two important components - roles and actors - were harmoniously combined. "Dark World", which became a mystical thriller, showed much more: love and friendship, philosophical overtones, good and evil in an unusual and such a simple combination of them. Indeed, to connect such things turned out to be the main task for the creators.

Roles and actors. "Dark World" - career leap

The film did not differ in the versatility of the characters. By and large, they were all the same students, not unlike each other. According to the scenario, there are uncertain Kostya and Marina, the windy Vika and the more neutral Arthur and Valya, as well as the demon, the witch and the old woman-keeper of ancient rites and traditions. Between the heroes there was no confrontation, all of them were separately comprehended, and soon after the story they scattered on different sides.

Young and already shown actors were approved for the roles: Svetlana Ivanova, Ivan Zhidkov, Elena Panova, Ilya Alekseev, Maria Kozhevnikova. The role of the main antagonist was made by Sergei Ugryumov.

Light perception

The picture was spoken of as the first adaptation of the new Russian fantasy, and it is worth noting, the debut turned out to be successful. In the film, the history and ancient legends, talking about the very existence of man-unknown worlds, a solid share of folklore, adorned the musical side, a kind "thrash" and an initial message were subtly intertwined. I remember the roles and actors. "Dark World" instantly captures to the screen, captures, amazes with interest, completely depriving the desire to seek out any inaccuracies. Some critics spoke about the inefficient use of new technologies, others noted the worthy play of many actors. In any case, the main audience was satisfied with the film.

New story

When success was obvious, and the studio reaped the fruits of its work, it was suggested to remove the logical continuation. Originally it was to be the prehistory of the first part. Marina and Sergey Dyachenko prepared the script. And if the registered roles and actors "Dark World" showed so that it was not perceived in a different way, it was still necessary to work carefully after this.

It was planned that there will be no old characters there. History turned out to be completely new, but directly related to its predecessor. The gifted magical amulet student Dasha acquires the ability to see Shadows and vampires who steal human energy. The girl is arranged in a magical organization that is engaged in cleaning the world of such representatives. Dasha saves a few lives and successfully uses his new abilities, and in the end finds love.

But during the initial stage director Oleg Asadulin proposed to make corrections and make a new part - "Dark World: Balance." Actors and roles required now have been rewritten. As a result, the general picture of the universe is the universe and some scenes. The picture was released on December 5, 2013. The main roles were given to Maria Pirogova and Pavel Priluchny.

This is not the end!

Along with the feature film, at the same time the shooting of the future series was conducted. He was left with the same name - "Dark World: Balance". Actors and roles, to the general delight of fans, did not begin to be replaced. The series allowed to show much more than was invested in the film. In each of the 12 episodes, there was a separate story related to the new victim and the new Shadow, which pumps out energy using its own method. The series was launched in May 2014 on the channel STS.
