Karen Dzhanibekyan. Life and work of the Armenian actor

He wanted to live up to 89 years, put the border and agreed with God not to celebrate the 90th anniversary. However, everything happened differently. In March 2015, the People's Artist of Armenia Karen Dzhanibekyan did not become. He left at the age of 78.

After a 30-year hiatus, he returned to the theater again, all thanks to his late wife Liane Antaryan. Without it, he would not have opened the fund of Gurgen Dzhanibekyan and did not create the theater "Gurjan". Together they looked in one direction - the writer and the actor.

Karen Gurgenovich was born on July 1, 1937 in Yerevan in the family of the director, actor of theater and cinema, People's Artist of the USSR Gurgen Dzhanibekyan. Surrounded from childhood by creative people, Karen grew up restless and, as they say, a hyperactive boy. His father often took him to his theater, and the stage became a second home for the young Dzhanibekyan.

Energy and raged in Karen, and because of this he could not decide for a long time in choosing a profession. At the time when his peers submitted documents to universities, Karen Dzhanibekyan spent time with a cheerful company of friends, girls and often got into trouble. Finally, after gaining intelligence, Janibekyan, Jr. entered the Yerevan Theater and Art Institute.

The talent and efficiency of the young man did their job. Soon he became a successful and popular actor of theater and cinema in Armenia.

For him it does not matter what genre the film is, Karen Janibekyan played in detective, drama, mystical cinema, science fiction, melodrama. He believably conveyed the character of the hero, regardless of the historical era. Gallant knights and modern men in his performance were irresistible.

Working together with father

In the theater, he served with his father, and for the first time they played together in the production "Before sunset" after the play of the German playwright Gerhard Gaumpmann. The father was played by the seventy-year-old secret adviser Matthias Klausen, and the role of the servant of Winter was performed by the thirty-year-old Karen Janibekyan.

The image of the servant Janibekyan created in his own way. It was a proud, brooding, self-conscious sphinx, compelled to address the master with the words: "Your Majesty" or "They have come to you". At the artistic council, Gurgen Dzhanibekyan was told that his son outplayed his father, and this was a great joy for his father.

Once upon a request from Janibekyan Jr. to help him become a director of a movie theater, his father responded with a sharp refusal, saying that the only testament left to his son was to live in the theater and die in the theater and that his father always lived in his heart.

Ten years Karen Gurgenovich lived as a hermit in Garni, where he had a small house overlooking the gorge. In the farm there was a brazier, a small pool - everything you need for happiness.

He went there insulted at all and for a long time came to himself, breathing in the smells of nature. From this state his last wife Liana Antaryan brought out. The scriptwriter and playwright Liana Antharyan vowed that she would write about her father's life, who died.

The finished script entitled "In the mountains there is life" she brought to Armenia and was looking for the main performer for the role of father. Karen Gurgenovich externally and internally very approached this role and with a sinking heart she expressed to him her proposal. The actor decided not to give up and reassured the woman, and after reading the script, I realized that it was written about him. So two creative people met.

Liana Antaryan became his last guardian angel. The actor woke up with his former energy, in a short time they created a new theater and opened a fund in honor of Karen Gurgenovich's father.

Asked by the reporter what he considers the highest reward in life, Karen Gangenovich Dzhanibekyan replied that this is his family, five sons, one daughter and grandchildren, among whom there is one with the name Karen Gurgenovich Dzhanibekyan.
