Jaundice: symptoms of the disease

Many diseases require special treatment and hospital treatment, however, one of the most dangerous is jaundice. Symptoms can be determined by anyone, with an unaided eye to look at the patient. Skin during this disease becomes yellowish or completely yellow, the mucous membranes, in particular the eyes and tongue, are painted in a pale color. But most of all, jaundice becomes noticeable on the palms.

If a person has jaundice, the symptoms of it are supplemented by urine and beer color. It is noteworthy that this sign appears before all others. What is changing in the body? How do you know that this is jaundice? Signs in fact at an early stage are almost invisible.

The skin of a person turns yellow because bilirubin or carotene rises. However, if you have a pale yellow skin, do not immediately run to the doctor, because, perhaps, you simply abused citrus fruits or long sat on a carrot diet. Although, on the other hand, caution does not hurt.

As we have already noted, the reason for everything is bilirubin, a product that appears during the breakdown of hemoglobin, which in turn is a protein containing iron, and helps oxygen and carbon dioxide to move around the body. The place of hemoglobin content is erythrocytes, that is, blood cells.

Thus, jaundice, the symptoms of which are described above, is associated with an increase in bilirubin or carotene. But where does this process begin?

Jaundice, symptoms occur due to liver diseases, in particular such as cyst, cirrhosis, Gilbert's syndrome, neoplasms, parasitic lesions, etc., after diseases of bile ducts, for example, tumors, constrictions, etc. In addition, jaundice arises from the destruction of erythrocytes, that is, when a person is poisoned by poison, alcohol or drugs, suffers from blood disease, extensive burns, hemorrhages.

There is also a false jaundice, the signs of which are as follows: staining only the skin, and the color of the mucous membranes is normal. This kind of disease appears due to the use of pumpkin, certain medicines, and also, as we already noted above, carrots and oranges.

If you are sure that you have jaundice, the symptoms of it are the same as above, in no case do not self-medicate. In various books and in the vastness of the Internet, you can find recipes of traditional medicine, but you do not need to resort to their help, this can only worsen your condition. For example, if you read that cholagogue broths help to overcome the disease, it is not so, because if jaundice has arisen on the basis of cholelithiasis, then pain will add to the bad condition. Whether so it is necessary to risk or it is better to address at once to the doctor? Of course, the last.

What doctors treat this disease? Infectionist, hematologist, gastroenterologist. But the first person who comes to the rescue in this situation is a doctor of an ambulance.

Jaundice, the consequences of which depend on the initial cause of its occurrence, with proper treatment usually disappears within 2-3 months. However, after this, during the year, you need to avoid physical exertion, and during treatment stick to a diet, do not eat anything fried, avoid foods that load the liver, etc.

To jaundice, girls should be especially careful, conduct examinations within 2-3 years after the disease, because if the liver remains at least slightly enlarged, then there will be difficulties during pregnancy.

Try not to contact directly with patients, because jaundice can be infected through viral hepatitis. Be sure to wear a mask when communicating with an infected person.

Jaundice is not so terrible as it seems. And it is better to get sick of it in childhood than to suffer later. Although, of course, let's hope that the disease will bypass you!
