Interpersonal relations are the basis for the existence and development of society

We are all people and we are all individuals, because we have the qualities and psychological characteristics that allow us to lead an active life in society and to be full members of society. Interaction with the environment is close and does not have a serious impact on our behavior and personal development. And at the heart of this interaction are interpersonal relationships, very different in nature and structure, which can be characterized as follows. Interpersonal relations are subjectively and emotionally experienced relationships between people in the process of joint activity, based on various types of communication (visual, psychological and linguistic). Thanks to these relations, the society of people successfully exists and develops.

Interpersonal relationships in a small group are classified in different ways. They can be official, for example, between the boss and the subordinate, the teacher and the student, and be built on the basis of approved rules, laws, statutes, etc. In the process of working together, business relations develop, which are limited only to the scope of work.

Informal relations are formed solely at the expense of personal sympathy or antipathy, emotions and feelings and are not limited to any official documents and rules. Such relationships between people arise only at the expense of personal, subjective perception of the other, an impression of character, behavior, speech and appearance.

Interpersonal relationships are also the ability to correctly assess and perceive surrounding people in order to successfully interact in a group. Psychologists who observe communication between members of the group have identified several common causes that interfere with normal understanding and communication. These include, first, the presence of preset attitudes, certain assessments and beliefs, long before the meeting with people (they are sure that new acquaintances have no interest for them). Secondly, a considerable number of stereotypes, which are burdened by each person and which very often affect the evaluation of a new acquaintance and the impression of him. Thirdly, often when acquainted people make a judgment about each other long before they get to know each other more closely. Fourthly, with interpersonal communication, many people are not able to listen and appreciate the opinions of others, always relying only on their own. Finally, many of us can not understand and define the goals and intentions of other people during acquaintance and communication.

In addition, the features of interpersonal relations are characterized by certain frameworks, given by social patterns, stereotypes, i.e. The way it is accepted in this group, society or even culture. But even if you limit it to a given frame, there is always room for freedom of choice. Interpersonal relations are relationships built on the feelings and emotions of at least two interacting partners. Accordingly, one who is ahead of his partner in the manifestation of an emotional relationship, sets the tone for all subsequent interaction. So, non-emotional and indifferent people will always have those relationships that define more active and emotional. Programmable interpersonal relations are a positive moment in building a life plan, in achieving success both in personal life and in a career.

People's attitudes are most seriously influenced by values that determine their way of life. The coincidence of the main values in life, cognitive constructs strengthens people's relations among themselves, and divergence of views inevitably leads to conflict and misunderstanding.
